Geocentric Universe - does the ''Axis of Evil'' prove that Earth is the centre of the Universe?

I saw the documentary 'The Principle' a few nights ago where the argument in favour of a geocentric universe was discussed. The main evidence that the documentary used in favour of there being a geocentric universe is a peculiar anomaly in the cosmic microwave background radiation, dubbed ''the Axis of Evil'' because of how it violates the Copernican Principle.

The anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background radiation line up with Earth's ecliptic plane. Several sources have verified that this anomaly is indeed real.

What are your thoughts? Do you think this proves we live in a geocentric universe and Earth is special?

Data from the Planck Telescope published in 2013 has since found stronger evidence for the anisotropy. "For a long time, part of the community was hoping that this would go away, but it hasn’t," says Dominik Schwarz of the University of Bielefeld in Germany.​

While there may be a heavy bias in not desiring such anisotropy (just as with the favoritism for cosmological inflation), that could skewer interpretative neutrality... The construing of its possibility as the Earth being special or responsible for it, is a more flagrant brand of motivated reasoning itself (including a departure from methodological naturalism).

EXCERPT: Shamir believes these findings could suggest that the early Universe was less chaotic than it is today, and that its consistency is decreasing over time.

The differences in the asymmetry across different parts of the Universe are consistent with a quadrupole pattern - that is, the Universe wasn't rotating around a single axis, but four axes in a complex alignment.

The quadrupole found in the cosmic microwave background - the faint radiation left over from the Big Bang that suffuses the Universe - has been referred to as an "anomaly", a "problem" and the "Axis of Evil".

Because the cosmic microwave background is so faint, it's possible that the signal has been contaminated by the much brighter light of the current Universe.

However, the spin of galaxies is pretty easy to measure, so Shamir's research suggests that the cosmic microwave background quadrupole anomaly might be an even thornier problem than cosmologists thought.

"There is no error or contamination that could exhibit itself through such unique, complex, and consistent patterns," Shamir says.

"We have two different sky surveys showing the exact same patterns, even when the galaxies are completely different. There is no error that can lead to that. This is the Universe that we live in. This is our home."​

How does it being aligned with the ecliptic plane an argument for geocentrism? The ecliptic Is the plane in which the Earth orbits the Sun, and which the rest of the planets orbit close to. In a geocentric model, this would be the plane in which the Sun and planets orbit the Earth. However, the plane of rotation for the background stars as seen from the Earth isn't along the ecliptic, but aligned with the equator. At the most, an alignment with the ecliptic could only support an Sol-centric universe with the Sun at the center.
