it has occurred to me as i see various people start to mobilize to combat a theorized rising tide of xenophobia towards Asian inside the USA.
what is the landscape of this supposed issue ?
    what is the issue ?
    is it an issue ?
is it something that can be changed/solved ?
do people want to change other peoples thinking ?(Social psychological engineering)

This is a serious thread about Psychology of Xenophobia Public Media use & USA specific Racism issues pertaining to Directed Asian Centered/Directed Xenophobia

Generally t an American audience, here is the point where i lay my own story out to splain frame myself as being not a racist by seeking to self anoint with virtues of superiority.
    but im not going to
im not American and this is not creative writing class for media likes.

    soo it kinda hit me
that the backlash in the usa from the both-sides-isms of the lock-downs and failure to act by leadership
which is being gamed as "the peoples choice"
    inevitably has a backlash
the guilt and blame process starts up to try and paint someone as the bad guy/girl
and it looks like Chinese American are the unspoken target.

The question is, will the hate toward African Americans be re-directed toward Chinese Americans like the hate for jews(rich people in a financial class) ?
usa is very classicist even though it claims not to be.
it is EXTREMELY classicist compared to not a classicist society.

what are your thoughts, experience, opinions ?
general discussion but on topic and subject specific.
i think it will be a dead loss to swing off madly into the race/class war against African American that is getting a lot of main stream media at the moment.
why my educated readers may ask ?
because Chinese Americans take a different financial class system
    similar to jews
so i wonder if the projected hate criminologist attempted propaganda will possibly mimic the anti-jew sentiment concepts on a more deeper nasty intended level.

Hopefully the ethnic minorities (ie all of us) can see through the attempts to use them to gather support in a negative way.

As Black is beautiful ,so are Chinese ,Pakistanies, Danes ,Eskimos Scots and Pigmies.

They may also be ugly sobs.

We have to learn to recognize our own interests and those generally include those of others.

Not sure at all of the trajectory of these politics in the short /medium term.

I hope the fight against Climate change will act as a unifying force around the globe and paper over these kinds of cracks but ,it could go the other way.

We need a new Australia to exile those barbarians to where they can fight among themselves while others try to get along in peace and fairness.

my study into humans tells me a trend will have been started
this trend will have some age range dynamic drivers
this will be hate against Chinese and Chinese looking Asians by Americans
and by those idolizing right wing American xenophobic values

i am wondering if schools and leaders will get out ahead of it before it turns into another cultural facet of America culture

It's hard to tell if Asian hate crime is a thing. I've read the stories blaming Asia for Covid-19. I know that in the poorer parts of cities there is sometimes animosity between blacks and Asians.

Other than that the only reason I see it being in the news recently is just because that guy in Atlanta killed a bunch of people in Asian massage parlors.

I live in Seattle, There is a large Asian population here. I don't see "Asian Hate" here. I don't know if it's a "thing" or if this is just a story that is in the news for a few days because of the Asian massage parlor shooting.

You're putting the cart before the horse. The news focused on the angle that it was Asians that were killed in Atlanta because there has been a notable rise in attacks on Asians over the last year or so. It was a thing before the Atlanta attacks.

Those are four - and possibly five - separate mind-sets.
The hate toward people of African descent is two-fold:
    1. We can forgive those who have trespassed against us, but we cannot forgive those we have wronged. Our victims, or those whose suffering has benefited us, make us feel bad about ourselves, make us feel guilty and obligated to make reparations. It's easier to convince ourselves that they are at fault; to direct the hate and blame at them, rather than ourselves.
and 2. Their appearance, their distinct speech and culture and shared history excludes us; forces us to question our own identity; casts doubt on our unique specialness. This is particularly problematic for creationists.
Maybe even 3 for some insecure males: Feeling threatened by the physical vitality, appearance and competence of African men. Fear of losing their women, their jobs and their pride, if they have to compete.
The hate toward Asians is not quite as old, but it's been embedded in the American consciousness at least since 1900, when America became a Pacific naval power and started building its far eastern empire. It was bruited about that the Chinese were so numerous, they would soon overrun the world; the Japanese were aggressive, the Phillipinos we fractious; Indians are backward and superstitious; all Asians are inscrutable and untrustworthy....
If a regime wants to subjugate a foreign population, it pays to demonize them in the mind of its own people - and Americans have always been easy to turn against somebody: Natives, Mexicans, Germans, Italians, Irish, Canadians, Muslims, each other....
The anti-Asian sentiment gets stirred up again in America every two generations or so - just as the anti-Jewish sentiment was useful in Europe - whenever an administration needs to distract the people from its own crimes and blunders.
While one of the ways to direct hostility toward the Jews is by imputing to them the underhanded acquisition of wealth (because the always-warring European feudal lords despised trades, but borrowed heavily from merchants), it's been far more effective, when propagandizing ignorant peasants, to accuse them of arcane religious practices (child sacrifice used to be a staple of Russian hate-mongery) or political radicalism (which is sometimes even true) In modern America, it's enough to call someone an liberal intellectual (which most educated Jews are).
Americans don't hate rich people. They admire - one might almost suspect, worship - success, as measured in $M$. They can be riled up against predatory money-lenders for a few minutes, but that resentment can be turned toward government at the drop of a tax-form.

This is so patently untrue that I'm forced to think you mean classist; socially/economically stratified.
    In which case, yes.

my spell checker corrected it from classist
    spell checker corrected

American culture & society is extremely Classist (my spell checker has now labelled that as spelt wrong)
at a typing speed when i go fast, of around 30 to 40 words per minute i miss some things sometimes
i use to type around 55 words per minute with daily practice
a quick glance auto correct a paragraph and hit post

    noting classicist
usa white male culture idolizing Roman socialism (Romans were communists ruled by an oligarchy which used liberty purchased via birth right & political station as the vehicle to attach liberty to)

note some USA university sports teams & university lodges maintain Roman culture as compulsory overt group conformist Culture.

    classicists lol

agree 150% (wall st sales manager mathematics)

note white Americans labeling native American Indians as genetically pre disposed alcoholics
    the savage gene
all sorts of quiet complicity to define the intelligence as naturally lower to maintain an authority for lesser equal value
then to apply the white narcissists Ego to virtue signal gifting equality to those who really do not deserve it
but the narcissists white gives it to symbolically appease the white women as a sign of virility and ability to not eat their own babies

Spell-checkers are stoopid. I figured it for a typo.

    It shows!

I don't think so! They idolized Roman grand architecture and the cult of romantic masculinity and the extensive military conquests - as seen in the movies. An actual classicist studies Greek and Roman culture, literature, history and art. I very much doubt most Americans are up for that. Of course, there are outstanding American scholars - they just don't have a whole lot of popular appeal.

White Americans hate everybody who isn't white.

As a black guy myself (I was born in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro favelas) I think many white people treat black people like they are second-class citizens or like black people are a subhuman race.

White Americans are also hypocritical because America was actually built on the back of black African slaves.

America would not nearly be what it is today if it wasn't for the hard labor of black African people.

But if you look deep into it white people in America (and also in Brazil) are still the privileged race and blacks still don't have nearly the same opportunities to progress in society as white people do.
  14. RainbowSingularity Valued Senior Member

    "off" not 'on'

was built 'on' the genocidal mass murdered bodies & villages of native american indians,
'off the back' of African slaves.

white invaders would go hunting native americans for sport
equally they did not consider african slaves as being human and would do all sorts of things to them.

the main point i am attempting to discuss with this subject specifically about american white middle class hate toward asians people as primarily chinese
is a form of xenophobic transference (deliberate)
to label some race as the bad race who is responsible for everything that is wrong in their own white middle class society.

it is quite a different issue from skin colour and ethnic racism issues

all different ethnic groups are generally racist toward other ethnic groups
it is a natural state of human development around group dynamics of human social tribe development over millions of years.

asserting that someone cant be racist because they are black is a common form of racism

In actuality the extreme political left are just as good at hating
ethnic groups as the extreme political right but for somewhat different reasons.

I personally think that Mr. Andrew Yang performed a service to all Americans from Asia by at least tossing his hat in the political arena and explaining support of a Basic Minimum Income.

All of this is true and is indeed a horrible part of our history......
but English persecution of the Irish was in many ways just as bad as what was done to both First Nations Americans or Black Americans.
  17. RainbowSingularity Valued Senior Member

you are saying everything is the same ?
there is no shortage of different examples of many different cultures of genocidal acts
genocide was(& still is in many cultures) the norm for warring and population control for thousands of years

your drawing a moral value judgment comparable to do what ?

    what ?

what are you making an excuse for ?

    nazis ? zionists ?
    please elaborate

you could argue that the usa has genocide using low class income as the type
it denys food & health care to low income working poor
as a system & the people endorse this as capitalism
  18. Jeeves Valued Senior Member

I did not know that! Who and what is 'the extreme political left' in America, what have they been doing, and specifically, what have they done in the past four years to justify that observation?
  19. RainbowSingularity Valued Senior Member

Dennis is trying to validate fascism by defining it is an ethnic class
while vilifying socialism defining it as a political class
then setting them both against each other to validate fascism
then defining socialism as an abuser and the instigator
and the facism as being inherantly pure by its demand to have protection from criticism and calling it race instead of fascism

me thinks Dennis has got lost in mein kampf & thinks Alice and the magic rabbit will lead him out of the rabbit hole he has climbed into

effectively what Dennis is saying is
he is brain washed to believe the extreme right fascism has rights over others
via some odd form of morality
but he has not defined any moral values

people who have been raised to normalise Xenophobia & corrupt power systems tend to have a very odd concept of equality of power.

one would think the nature of extreme right or left would be war

why would extreme right war be morally better than extreme left war ?

sounds like a pre defined carefully cultured way to exploit american cold war social engineering indoctrination to bi-partisan morality and social class

    what for ?
profit ? or just to watch the world burn for personal amusement ?

Republicans like Ted Cruz and Stephen Miller are cheering on Andrew Yang after he posted a pro-Israel tweet amid violent clashes with Palestinians

    pro Israel
    pro china

    pro what ?
    libertarianism ?
    pro democracy ?
    pro capitalism ?
pro minding your own business ?

republicans are only interested in personal profit as a general rule

now both china and Israel can be aligned by media spinners trying to dictate how countrys internal policys work while flaming other countrys for profit and power
to feather their own political nests

i personally do not see a reason why intellectual debate should play lap dog to overt brutish imperialism of any kind
be it socialist or church orientated mixed market

    soo many media spinners
    soo few intellectual comments

Andrews yangs opinion is his own opinion
those who seek to twist and then lay claim to own his morals is just media fakeness
typical ego manipulation stuff of the abusers of power.

    Republicans owning a democrat ...
where do you draw the line on the narrative ?

looks like republicans trying to lay claim to middle of the road policys when they know they are loosing support.
more so when they see how much of their investment capital has been spent in china while they back xenophobic anti Asian themes in media comments

they think they are staying a head of the game
depends which game they "think" they are playing

    in the back ground
china building citys for its border people
usa throwing children into cages & a failed border solution sucking up billions in working class taxes
while china makes money and strategic investment by building a city for the border people

    china= city builders
    republicans = horse traders

    conceptual emotional values
definitive scientific absolute self statements of belief

i care so i will make pregnant teens suffer horribly by forcing them to not have abortions

i care so i will give teenagers access to free access public health including abortion services as they require & choose.

which one is the fake ?

which one knows they are the fake ?

knowing that they are the fake, will they admit it to others ?
