Child Beauty Pageants

Do you think child pageants like these sexualize children?

I agree, but making statements like that does not make either of them go away. Just read the study you first posted on beauty pageants in children. These are not evil or manipulative or exploitative parents.

Ah, the naive mind, how shallow it ebbs and flows.

I can't acknowledge the use of the word 'evil' due to it's religious connotations and utter meaningless in nature.

But, most certainly, those women ARE manipulative and exploitative, it is what they learned as children and what they're children are learning now. Same, same, Sam.

And yet, you defend one but not the other. Curious...

Why are you debating an utterly meaningless issue?

Why are you debating an utterly meaningless issue?

Only an ad hom would be relevant at this point as you troll in favor of backing up your assertions.

You are one fine, upstanding representative of Sciforums, Sam.

It's all yours, Tiassa.

No I'm curious as to why you are debating an issue since clearly there is no evil.

Why do you have an opinion on this?

As for the mothers, as I have already indicated, they are a product of their environement.

Which is the rational conclusion based on their self assessment of their motives.

A kid who fails to win a spelling bee will be disappointed, but can take comfort in the fact that there is more to life in spelling. Not so the little girl who has been led to believe that her walue resides in her looks.

Holy shite, I actually agree with Myles.

If you wish to debate the philosophical validity of the concept of evil, take it to General Philosophy. In the meantime, while I'm aware that this topic reads like a goddamn chat room, one of the themes that strikes me is that you're never happy. S.A.M. supports the study you provided, and even agrees with other of your assertions and you're still looking for a reason to complain?

How about if, beyond this response, I leave this one alone? As it is, you probably wouldn't like the course my actions would follow.

Don't get me wrong. Anyone else is welcome to object, too. It all depends on the form, content, accuracy, and relevance of the objection. And, all things considered, I'm not impressed by the issue as it has been put before me.

Wow, 24 pages.

I really don't have much to add, that I haven't already said. It seems the poll has changed a lot since I was last here. I read the posts that were added and it still seems to me that Sam and Orleander really have no morals when it comes to this issue. Not sure about Captain Kremmen because he hasn't posted a thing. Not sure if his vote was serious or not he seems like a bit of a joker to me.

Anyway at least it is nice to see that the majority of ppl here think it is wrong.
