Fortunately I don't suffer from arthritis, and am happy with ibuprofen for general inflammation, but my Aunt - a natural remedy advocate - thinks it works wonders in some of her "patients" (she's a Reiki practitioner). Not all, but certainly some.

Reiki is fairly flaky. People may like having hands laid on them but the stuff about "energy" is manifest ballocks.
What does she do with the frankincense? Burn it so they get a nice smell? Or is it applied to the skin in some way, or taken internally?
Oh, I'm with you on that. Probably being too kind to call it merely "flaky"... it's snakeoil that works through the placebo effect. I've long since stopped talking to her about it, lest I incur her wrath!
Honestly, I have no idea. Only that she's mentioned it in the past.

But then, that rather limits where we can take this discussion, I think.
Just asked her for details: she knows it as Boswellia, and she buys it in capsules - so taken orally. Not sure where this "discussion" is going, though, or whether it was just a closed question. I'm recognising that some people may feel better, for a bit, after a ritual involving placing hands on their bodies, as I believe is done in a Reiki "treatment" a.k.a. ceremony."fairly" flaky?
It wouldn't work for you or me, as we would both be annoyed by the bullshit use of the term "energy" and the rest of the associated pseudoscience spiel.
For me it is going to be who is placing their hands and where placing them

And my dad is 14 years ahead of you. But there's not a great of him left that works.
Latest pic, few days ago,after haircut and beard trim. Then to optometrist for eyes testing. Apparently fairly stable since last testing 2 years ago. Still they said needed lenses upgraded
Photo shows frame I picked. Optometrist kindly gave me a copy of the script so I can give to a optometrist in Bali a buy a couple as backup
