Italian peace activist murdered by Islamist militants in Gaza

Oh my god the irony. I feel so sorry for the guy but what did he think, these people are rational? They won't bite the hand that feeds them? An Italian activist for the cause of Gaza residents is taken hostage and killed by Islamic militants. What next? Maybe they will build their own wall and blockade themselves! Peace would be the worst thing that could happen to them, it would destroy the martyr industry.

Reminds me of some of the arguments coming from the Israeli press about the upcoming Gaza convoy II- some of them say to just let the convoy pass to Gaza, forget about inspections this time, avoid any violent confrontations which could be used for publicity and propaganda... Some think that when the convoy arrives with its expired medicines and cargo full of crushed, disorganized hand-me-downs, the Palestinians will tire of these people when they realize how many of them came to be seen on TV taking shots at Jews rather than caring about actual Palestinian suffering, and vice-versa the flotilla protesters will see just how much Gaza militants actually care about European-style freedoms. I hope no one interferes with their dance.

Amazing how much people care about the death of a foreign activist in Gaza - Gazans are killed everyday by similar militants, both Israeli and others and no one gives a damn

Meanwhile Gazans mourn the death of Arrigoni whose death will of course be used to damage more Gazans. Very fortunate timing too, for Israelis, just days before the flotilla. Cui bono? Strange enough two peace activists being popped off so close to each other by "Al Qaeda" linked militants [who of course deny all involvement<- reminds me of the "Hamas militant" with the Star of David tattoed on his chest] - wasn't Juliano Mer Khamis killed just last week? I wonder if the next one will die in East Jerusalem.

typical that your using this to further your own ends. actually the palestinians for the most part are actually rational and caring people. hence they are mourning this person. this is a product of the society created by the abuses they have sustained.

Correction - this is the fourth suspicious murder since Bibi promised Bar Ilan 2 - I'm awaiting details on who the other two were.

Eh? Wazzit?
I giggle everytime someone blames al Qaeda.
Aunty SAM, could you read me the story of the "Boy Who Cried bin Laden" pretty please? I need a healthy dose of fear to get to sleep.

I kind of keep this whole Israeli/Gaza thing on a backburner, because it's a little confusing to me, but when I hear about a Palestinian terrorist with a Star of David tattoo on his chest... I'm all ears.

What is this story? Link? Sounds plausible.
What about the "missiles" that were launched last summer supposedly from Palestine, but actually come from the opposite direction in Israel, according to Jordanian radar?

Yeah I too find it intriguing when "previously unknown" groups of Al Qaeda militants are associated with crimes that benefit the occupation

Meanwhile Hamas terrorist with star of david and Israeli weapons

Damn SAM, does look like one. Only question is whether it's photoshopped in. I dunno. Almost so small, I would wonder why it wouldn't be more conspicuous.

That Vittorio Arrigoni story... mentions the "M" word! Conspiracy theory! Tin foil hats! All is right in the world. Intelligence agencies only keep the peace SAM, they never lie! They never stage terrorist acts, blow up buildings, etc. Especially not to blame it on an enemy of convenience.

No. I just can't see it. Nope. Not at all.

LOL!

i'll read that link

By way of deception - a convenient slogan, I would think

What is more likely, unknown groups of Gazan militants kidnap and kill an Italian peace activist who is garnering international attention to the plight of Palestinians OR Israelis who are facing frustration over flotilla launch a covert campaign of demonising the Gazans just before the flotilla is launched?

Based on the responses of Hamas and other Gaza reps, it would seem the former is considered most likely even by the Palestinians themselves. Maybe what's actually happening is that you're an Israeli plant, inventing fake Hasbara with which to accuse them, so as to make Israel's opponents look like a bunch of violent UFO nuts. Or maybe Israel's intelligence agencies have gotten so cocky, to the point where they're violating Jewish religious laws against tattoos, just so they can have their undercover troops wear the star of David on their chests and make their infiltration attempts more daring and exciting, like they always show it in Hollywood.

I really like where you're going with this, SAM. :xctd:

And to gild the lily, they also provide themselves with Israeli weapons. After all, its highly unlikely that Israel would engage in a false flag operation citing al Qaeda - its not like it has happened before, several times

Well if a bunch of conspiracy blogs and anti-US alternative news websites say it's true, then it must indeed be so. Better start preparing for 2012, I've already stocked up on vaccines for nukes, asteroids and solar flares just in case.

I'm just waiting to see how many more peace activists end up dead before the flotilla in May. Because nothing says Al Qaeda like killings which benefit Israel

You can find more sources for the same story, if you are so inclined

The United States government has been provided with concrete evidence that the Israeli Mossad and other Israeli intelligence services have been involved in a 13-month effort to "recruit" an Israeli-run, phony "al Qaeda cell" among Palestinians, so that Israel could achieve a frontline position in the U.S. war against terrorism and get a green light for a worldwide "revenge without borders" policy. The question: Does the United States have the moral fiber to investigate?

OR

Palestinian security forces have arrested a group of Palestinians for collaborating with Israel and posing as operatives of Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda terrorist network, a senior official said yesterday.

The arrests come two days after Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon charged al-Qaeda militants were operating in Gaza and in Lebanon.

"The Palestinian Authority arrested a group of collaborators who confessed they were working for Israel, posing as al-Qaeda operatives in the Palestinian territories," said the official, on condition of anonymity.

You're right. It never works the other way round.

Actually, I hear a lot of the same nonsensical excuses from Israeli hardliners whenever a Jew goes on their own initiative and does something nasty to Palestinians. If SAM could just change the title she calls her religion and a couple of details in her dress code, she'd probably fit right in.

I'm still waiting on an explanation of where Hamas terrorists acquired US taxpayer funded Israeli weapons in Gaza.

The only thing worse than Israeli false flag operations is that their modus operandi could be exposed by a seven year old - whenever they try it, they do incredibly stupid stuff like make obvious animation gaffes, forget to conceal obvious Israeli sources, make phone calls and send messages that can be traced back to the Israelis, televise interviews with the perpetrators [google dancing Israelis 9/11] - commemorate and give medals to the perpetrators [google Lavon affair]i.e. very amateur mistakes

If we just wait on them, they'll tell us themselves how they did it.

Israel 'faked al-Qaeda presence'

obviously conspiracy oriented website

Well done, you quoted a BBC report which in turn merely relays accusations from the Palestinian Authority, which itself was involved in suicide bombings at the time the article was written. If you're not even going to read your sources and check what they say, why bother posting them?

Never heard of Israeli soldiers selling guns and intel for hashish? And I guess you never heard about what happened to all the weapons US and Israel gave to the Palestinians as part of the Oslo accords, either. Well, those are two well-known methods for getting Israeli weapons, which I suppose you never bothered to research while you were busy poking around for ways to connect 9/11 to Jews.
