Several fascinating new studies find that SCNT creates embryonic stem cells with longer telomeres, healthier mitochondria, and better differentiation abilities than induced pluripotent stem cells. This may be because the egg's youthful mitochondria invigorates the older cells. All this became highly relevant when a global group published the first verification, this month, that ES cells can be made from adult human cells.
