Pornography has destroyed me

That kind of stuff does mess with your mind, in that it just makes you realise who walks among you, and its scary shit!
Nah, not that bad after you've done field work in a psychiatric clinic. ;)
After that concentrated environment it seems quite nice outside.
Statistics tell that about 10% of people have psychic disorders that for the better of themselves and others should be treated (about 3% should be treated clinically). In realty mostly only those who pose danger to others are.
You'd be surprised how many people live in their insanity behind closed doors.

Of course somebody will jump in and cry that we have no right to say what is insane and what is sane. To a degree I gladly agree, but there is a line and you see the line quite clearly in each individual case.
For example, would you call a woman sane who thinks that all are out there to poison and control her, she spends all her money on tinfoil to cover the walls and ceiling of her flat (every month, because she says that tinfoil wears out from those control waves from Russian sattelites) and has lead shields before her windows. And still thinks that neighbours blow in poisonous gas through the small openings
and they do that to whatever new flat she moves into.
That's a real case and nothing special as far as the patients of the psychatric clinic go.

there are things that frighten 'normal' people. perverse sex, as we havebeen talkin about, and Avatar's fieldwork experiences in a psychiatric hospital etc

you can add to that, some poeples fears of creepy crawlies, tedark, and even othe people wit dark skin, and different beliefs. the list can gon on

but it is ALL us. tis world is us as community. and all tat you fear is part of YOU. it is there existing in the deepest recesses of you'll. all ready to be explored. how d'ya like THAT....haha

Of course, it's all brain jam. Never said anything about fear though. And I am quite normal (yes, been tested for the fun of it). It's not a pleasurable experience, dealing with those people, that's all.

I even have a psychic disorder evaluation sheet/test taped to my wardrobe, so each morning I can quickly test my overall condition and if anything new has appeared. :p
It's great fun for the guests too. :D

i see........

and you beLIEVE these doctors of psychiatry do you..................??

i see...

I don't have to believe, I have studied psychiatric diagnosis.
Have an irrational fear from doctors, duendy? /sneers
Don't worry, many have, however it's more to do with lack of education than a psychic disorder ('we don't trust what we don't understand' idea),
but of course a general distrust is not a healthy view to life.

and trusting blindly is also very unhealthy my Avatar. which i am afriad you seem to do regularly...

I'm constantly enjoying internet porn. I'd say 2-3 times a week. I don't stray from the "normal" regular porn so I don't think I'm filling my head with that bad of stuff. It's funny actually, right after I'm finished I'll read up on some news, read some science, learn, etc and I will totally forget about the images and videos I had just watched. It doesn't really control me in any way but I admit that sometimes while on the internet and I see a pretty lady or something full clothed but looks good, I'll sometimes immediately get the urge to masturbate and will go directly to my fav. porn site. I don't think internet porn is changing the way I look at women because I am a bigger fan of natural beauty and not fake boobs, etc. I don't even like makeup on women...unless they really need it! :)

I suppose I'll eventually quite internet porn all together sometime in the near future. It's been with me throughout my youth (I'd say 15 on) and has satisfied me until now (age 21)...in between all that I dated some very nice girls who I had great relationships with...they were not all sexual due to them being good Christians, etc. But I'd say 21 is good for me and I'll be shying away from using internet porn for the future. Time to go do more important things such as studying Meteorology in England. ;)

Yeah. I am just like you, but I've have my period from 19, when my friends first introduced me to it - I think it was the first time I saw sex - until now at 25. 6 wholes years! I think it's just not worth it. There are better things you can do with your time than surfing the internet for this crap. I am giving it up now.

Man, Im not about to EVEN point out what is "Right"............. I Would rather Introduce My Face to a Brick wall... But I know that I got Exactly what I deserved For "Being OPEN PHUCKIN MINDED"... Joke was on me... Of course.. I haven't been able to Get passed some of what I have seen.......... Obviously... It's like Finding out that the Easter Play Boy Bunny is Really Satan. NOT Fun...
But How about.......... If the Other Individual participating in the act can not physically or verbally say "yes, This is what I want to do." Then... Maybe That should be illegal?
Some times, you Can fear what you THINK you Understood... And some times you Just have to say.. No thanks

Internet porn is an extremely easy and quick fix. Having a woman in your bedroom, however, requires significantly more energy to arrange and execute. First, you gotta find prey that's ready and willing to have sex with you, which can be difficult enough. She can't be an entire whore because you obviously don't want STDs. Then you have to make sure sex is enjoyable enough for her so that she'll want to do it again with you or so she'll mention how great in bed you are to her friends. Then you have to cuddle and deal with the social aspect of it all. It can be exhausting if you're not terribly genetically gifted.

But is it worth it?

Do any of you find it true what the author is talking about, regarding what is now required to be stimulated? I know there are some men on this board that find sex boring. Do you think porn-viewing can have this effect on you? Perhaps conditioning the brain to only be particularly aroused by 2d images on a computer monitor?

WOW... With all you have said, it's a Wonder the world is OVER POPULATED at all.
I mean.. hell, it being all Hard to do and all... HAHAHAA Sorry...
Well... So its a quik fix to a unsupresable urge.... hhmm.... Ok Ill Buy it. But... Necro?

Actually, I think it is often quite the reverse. People who watch too much porn come to have unrealistic and quite skewed expectations about sex.

Porn is usually not liberating. Rather, it imposes its own set of strictures and expectations on people.

Jamey boy, open up a top-shelf mag before you comment. Better yet, get a girlfriend (or boyfriend, as the case may well be). Porn weakens ones internal prohibitions .

You make many assumptions in your last post, Jaybee. As it happens, virtually all of them are wrong. But then, you're not the brightest light on the Christmas tree.
