Question about nuclear DNA

In wikipedia it's written that nuclear DNA is passed sexually. Does it mean that nuclear DNA passes from both sexes simultaneously or that it passes either from male or female?

Without further context this is not quite correct (I did not read the article in question).
DNA can be propagated sexually or asexually, depending on species. However, during sexual reproduction male and female contribute half of the DNA. Check out mitosis for further information (during asexual reproduction the DNA is just copied completely).

But what exactly is meant by sexually or asexually?
