I don't know that it was racist, but it was pretty fucking nasty they way the other girls treated her. Some of the things they said were very generalised and you just wouldn't say that in public. Behind closed doors, as people have touched on in this thread, is understandable - it will happen, but you just don't get yourself into that situation in public (live tv).
I don't understand why racists are so cowardly about their racism sometimes. Why not say it on TV? I want to see more racism on TV, I want to see more of this stuff. I don't want censoring of racism because if you censor it, you make society MORE racist.
Look at how racist society is now, let's look at the white population of America for an example. About
40% or so, give or take, of the white population are racist. This does not seem like a lot of people, but 80% of the country give or take, is white, this means there are more white racists in this country, than there are minorities to be racist against.
This should tell you something, because while it's not a situation where minorities will be harassed 24/7 by the klan, that sort of racism is gone, the sort of undercover racism still exists because that sort of thinking exists.
So while you have neo-nazi's, who are racist and proud, and shave their head etc. This sort of racist is becoming less and less popular. Now the new sort of racist, will try hard not to say anything racist in public, and not look racist in public, but in private will act, think, and talk racist. This is why for example, there will not be a black President, it's not because people won't all claim they will vote for one, no one wants to appear racist in public, but when it's time to act, thats usually when people discover they really are racist.
It's almost as if, racists today don't even believe they are racist until the moment when it's time to act, or make a decision, and only then do they realize that they don't really want change and are racist. So, I think a lot of people are racist but cannot accept it themselves. We saw Kramer, say racist stuff and then go on TV and be unable to admit to himself that hes a racist. This is the sorta racist we have today.
I prefer people who admit it and are like "Yes, I AM a racist, and here are my reasons why.", because a person like this, who can admit who they are, you can see they have integrity, you can respect them, and accept them for who they are. But if someone does not even know who they are, what exactly can you do? You can't really be friends with a person who does not know or accept themselves.
So, let's ask people, how many here are willing to admit that they are racist? Even if it's just alittle bit racist, how many people are willing to be brave and say it? What happened to the proud racists?
