Recalling sent emails in Outlook

As the title states, I'm wondering if you've ever recalled a sent message in Outlook? I'm in marketing, and sent an email to a client and caught a glaring typo, so I ''recalled'' it. I received a notification that it was successfully recalled, and according to online sources, as long as the email remains ''unread,'' it should rescind fine. I caught the error quickly, so it's quite possible that the recipient didn't read it, yet. I'm blaming SF for distracting me, today.

Yes. I have made some boo boos and had to recall.

The recipients didn’t know, right? Like, they don’t receive a notification?
I will mail with screen grabs when I get to work. The thing I have noticed is that it does not work so well outside my organisation. So say I mail a colleague from sales and recall that is fine. To a different company not so sure. Reason is that I have had notifications from outside saying, " Mr """""" tried to recall message."

This is exactly my concern. I feel like they don’t think these things through from a design perspective, when creating these apps. I don’t want the recipient to see that type of notification, it would have been better to have not recalled and hope they didn’t see the typo.
