SciForums Presidential Election

Who would you elect?

I may have to reconsider the advisability of a coalition with Enmos: my near-3:1 advantage is beginning to look overwhelming.

But that's for the future...

Oi! :bugeye:
And I didn't forget the 'l' there..

Dude, we're tied :D

Shorty, you can still join the winning camp :D
Don't worry, we'll find a fitting position for Baron.

I love Enmos to pieces, but in a political election, I'd have to vote for Oli.

I am pretty sure he's a dynamiter. And I always carry matches in my pocket.

Ah, you're looking at the figures incorrectly. ;)
Reverse Clausewitz's saying: war is politics by other means = politics is war by other means.

And then look up Lanchester.
Combat (with everything else being equal) is dependant upon the ratio of the squares of the numbers.
For example the votes are currently 12 and 8.
So that gives me 144: 64. 2:1 advantage.

Yep, we're teamed up.
The Dominion will prevail.

Well, we were tied when I posted that. Honestly! lol
Aye, the Dominion will prevail! :)

Say the following people were candidates for President of the United States:

Enmos
Baron Max
Edit: Mystery Member. Name removed by request.
Spidergoat
Cosmictraveler
Oli

Who would you vote for?

I'll bet at least half these people aren't even US citizens and therefore not eligible to run for president of the US.

That silly rule was declared (by me as leading candidate) to be null and void.

Indeed!
A sizable chunk of the voters are probably not US citizens either.
That sounds suspiciously like discrimination to me.

Yep. This is the election for Universal Presidency.
Shh.
US president.
The rest comes AFTER the election.

I would like it to be noted that I voted for Enmos, the beheader.

We shall have many skulls, my precious... yes my precious, we shall...

Well, if its silly for the candidates to be required to be of a particular nationality then surely it is similarly silly for the voters?

Ah, apologies: I* misread the meaning of your comment.

[Edit] * when I say "I misread it" what I meant was that it was incorrectly summarised for me by one of my staff. I've had him taken round the back and executed, with the promise that he will be re-instated on full pay (back-dated) once he's learnt to summarise correctly [EndEdit].
