Teacher fired for past profession

Apparently she wasn't fired.

Tera Dye asked to be placed on administrative leave for the remainder of the school year. A statement from the Parkway School District says Dye's request came after a student asked her about her past, referring to the one or more pornographic movies Dye admitted to making while living in California in the mid-1990s.

The Parkway district has agreed to accept Dye's request to be placed on leave "out of respect for her privacy and that of her family."

goes to show how the decisions we make have consequences.

But sometimes it is better to give people a second chance isn't it? Or do you always condem people for just one "mistake" they might have made?

Its tough luck really, but this would probably only happen with teaching.
How would the majority of a class take her lessons seriously?

If she was a teacher at my school she would have been given hell by the kids.

But sometimes it is better to give people a second chance isn't it?

obviously the decision she made in the past embarrasses her.

because

a: she used a fake name

b: "asked to be placed on administrative leave"

Or do you always condem (sic) people for just one "mistake" they might have made?

No. I am, most likely, more forgiving than you.:)

How on earth did you come to comment like this on John's post?

Because I think that people do make mistakes and want to just try and move forward with their lives as better people than they were. They knew they did something that was upsetting to others so they just try and "cover" their past as best they can.

That doesn't answer why you accused him of condemning others when he said "goes to show how the decisions we make have consequences."

I only asked him, never did "accuse " him, here read my post again, it is a QUESTION not an accusation.

It's a question that entails an accusation.

Such as asking someone "Have you stopped beating your wife?" when it is not yet clear whether he ever beat his wife at all.

we are all judged by our past. sometimes it is warranted and sometimes not but it's just human nature to do so and really these are the decisions they\we made.

cosmic, dont tell me you dont\would not judge people based on their past decisions or choices because then you would be lying.

Not at all. You are so full of shit.

Why thank you to show us your insecurities in yourself by calling me names! Can't just discuss something that you don't understand so cuss at it and your problem goes away...NOT!

I wonder how one learns to be manipulative like that. Is it an US thing?

No, its an honest finding that psychologists everywhere have found out to be true. No manipulation, if only you would take the time and do some of your own research about this, just hard facts that have been proven over and over by many others. If you can't talk about why you feel the way you do , you are only trying to take the easy way of criticizing me as well as others that you call names. Just shows how much maturity you actuality have.
