UFO stealing plasma from the sun ?

I was surprised to only see this childish exchange regarding this unusual phenomenon on a Sci Forum.

I had not seen this video until recently, I guess this is old news for most of you.
I'm curious what is the common explanation for this event ?

looking for some rational perspective on this,
it appears to be authentic observatory footage and the orb appears to be the only stationary object in the video. is it really just a hoax ?

It's a very dramatic phenomena.
But why link it to alien spacecraft?

I've not seen anything like it,
but for solar scientist it is known, and an example of a coronal prominence cavity, or polar crown cavity.
It is a wonder of nature, and needs no embellishment with nonsensical ideas.
