So what is energy?
Photons are not energy. We know energy as photons,
I do not know what that means.but even this is captured energy in a spacetime structure.
Good question.So what is energy?
That is more of an example than a definition. The higher the energy that a photon carries the shorter the wavelength.I have an answer: energy is the stuff responsible for giving a particle a wavelength.
Energy is a property of a physical system, with dimensions ML²/T². Like linear and angular momentum, it is a property that is conserved, in a closed system. There are many definitions, perhaps the commonest being the ability to do mechanical work.We know energy as photons, but even this is captured energy in a spacetime structure. So what is energy?
That's not what my bar tender tells meYou cannot have a jug of energy.
what is energy?
And heat, and work, and potential energy in various forms, and more besides.Energy comes in at least two forms ; electromagnetic , light energy
You mean kinetic energy? And speed energy of a physical macro thing . Atoms and molecules .
Raisins are really dried grapes. You can use water to cut metal . At very high pressures .
That should win an award for the worst definition energy ever, unless that was a joke, in which case - ha ha good one.any occlusion of content or activity that creates instance of measurable occurrence in any instance
and more besides.
Ah Glasshopper, velly mystical. It seem you have been smoking stlange substance. The "more" must include the uncreated energy that must have existed in the "nothing" before the beginning of this universe of ours.
There were supposed to have be virtual energy manifestations (whatever that means) , such as virtual phenomena popping in and out of existence, but simply put, some primordial, uncreated form of Ur- , latent.potential to produce must ave always be present.
Grasshoppers can be a plague, but jump amazingly high for their size. so, from a more elevated viewpoint, and zero gravity, I hoped that we would get a common peak beyond the horizon, assuming that laws of nature are valid there too. For example: that energy can not be created. But could have exotic forms in that pre-matter domain.Glasshopper,

never smoked. like mirrors though.
In the ALMA thread I refer to energy as uncreated, indestructible. The Energy that would have had to existed in the pre-BB timespace , that in part turned into matter, an Ur - energy that might not have had any of the energy forms we deal with here and now. butLight energy is limited by being electromagnetic in form . It has no potential energy because it has no mass . It can not store energy , with out a physical mass being involved in the process .

your observation is interesting. light has pressure, no mass, but pressure, like a wave breaking on shore. That wave stored energy, and so must light. You suggest a good light light battery. stored light! Musk must be interested.
Light energy would be good to store, it does not age, or move through time.
How does light produce pressure without mass , on mass ?
The shore is matter based .
Light is based on physical three dimensional objects giving off energy
