Without knowing the details of your back surgery...are you still glad you had it done or did you have to have it done? There were stars out last night but it was not good enough for imaging I was going to but it went crook... I may try a wide field say a couple of hours with just the DSLR and say 100 mm fl...and still get to sleep at my normal time say 11 or 12....staying up till 3 amm knocks me around so I plan sleeping the next day after those sessions.
I reckon life insurance would be the way to go at the moment..sounds crazy but it's a numbers game and I bet folk would be knocking on your door.
My trading game is going well another profit today..interestingly the market shows a solid up trend today..usually big swings in CBA but nice and smooth with little down sliding. Helped pass the time. With the rain I cant be bothered working on the observatory..which is slack.
Something unbelievable today a doctor rang me re my back/legs to see if I was ok etc..We had a nice chat and he said he would call again in six months...made me feel very special it's four or five years since my back operation.
Even if it's clear tonight I will pass any serious attempt...might try a static trippd approach to show folk they too can image the stars..I don't want to be tired tomorrow driving to town shopping, fighting for food etc.

I have "minor" back problems but everyone I know who has had back surgery doesn't seem to be any better. Just curious about your case.
