You lost

Who's "we" in this story? You and who else?

Who's "you"? What did "you" do?

Are you feeling okay, Mr. G?

Rhetorical? Going by past form Mr. G is as mad as a box of frogs.

He also, by his own admission, here: https://www.sciforums.com/threads/c...ident-you-deserve.166581/page-60#post-3743490. only comes here to troll. This is his second attempt at trolling today: https://www.sciforums.com/threads/trump-2-0.166697/page-11#post-3747537

It's quite funny to see this, though. I expect we'll get a lot more from MAGA idiots crowing about Trump's victory. In the UK we had a lot of "You lost, get over it" schtick from Brexitty people after the Brexit referendum. What those idiots then, and these American idiots now, fail to realise is that in politics you don't just give up and keep quiet when a party you don't support gains power. What you do is continue to argue the case, in order to achieve a different result, next time there is an opportunity to vote.

There does seem to have been a point in time where something broke for Mr. G.

It's good to learn that he's feeling happy in himself, whatever it is that's going on with him.

It's his time! He's probably very busy enjoying his Time and will only stay here for minute or two. I think it's quite likely that he's so high on life right now that he won't be able to conduct any sort of extended conversation that makes any sense.

I say: good luck to him in his Time! I guess we'll all get our own Times later. Or maybe we already had them. Maybe he really has "won" the contest (whatever that was about). Oh well.

Oh, is that what he's on about? He's all excited because he voted for Trump and Trump is back?

I'm biding my time. Trump will surely let his ardent non-rich-guy followers down rather badly; it's just a matter of time. He started (continued?) the process on day 1, but it will take a while to hit home with those people. They didn't learn from history, so now they get a chance to repeat it, only worse this time around.

In the meantime, I say let them have their little moment of joy. Buyer's regret will surely come, a short way down the track.

(I wonder whether Mr. G is happy now that all those guys who violently attacked the police on Jan 6 are out of jail and running around creating mischief again...)

Yes, I'm aware. Buyer regret has kicked in for many of those people, now. Although some of them are no doubt still oblivious to why they ended up worse off than before.

The idiots aren't ones who go in for arguing cases, though. They don't understand what they are voting for, most of the time. Then, they are surprised when the results don't turn out like they hoped they would.

Sadly, lots of the evils of the world come down to simple ignorance putting itself in the service of determined self-interest.

Trolling: Lofting a half-stick of dynamite into the pond and watching the dead fish float to the surface.

Oh, are you trying to troll the forum, Mr. G?

Are you angling for a ban? You could just ask, you know.

Three more posts from him and his out put to like ratio will be 1300 :1
Seems like a nice round number.
Yours is 15.7:1 in case you were interested but as a mod, your corrective and instructive posts are unlikely to receive any plaudits.

Come now, you're not trolling, you're better than that. Unless, of course, living in Florida has completely destroyed your brain cells. Just curious, is where you live now be underwater soon?

No if he's in Florida he's probably 108 and senile.

Hell, yeah, I'm trolling the forum. I've even said it up front in case y'all might have missed the sentiment.

"Are you angling for a ban? You could just ask, you know."

I've given you ample opportunities over the years to ban me. And ample opportunities to keep me around as a convenient foil.

For me, it's sport.

My take: You seem unable to beat my ass without an army of retards to back you up.

...an army of retards ...
With an OP that rings out like something the intellect of a maga cult member would bleat out on a public forum in some flaccid attempt at trolling, the target audience wonders if the irony of calling them retards was considered, you know, for sport?

The OP rings out of someone with the IQ of Forrest Gump, although he had a good heart and knew, "what love is."

Trump and his supporters are like the school bullies, the chief bully has just been made headmaster.
Bullies tend to be insecure gutless cowards, pray on those that will not fight back and cannot.
Greenlanders have said they do NOT want to be American.
Being American should be something to be proud of.
Not any more under this lunatic.

I'm probing to discover your limitations.

I've limited my interactions here for a while to the "Free Thoughts" forum. Banning someone over posts made in the "Free Thoughts" forum would make my case automatically.

I could load this page and then just sit here in front of the computer thinking free thoughts freely.

Like, "What's this >Post Reply< button all about?

My participation here has always come with a warning label: "Words ought to be a little wild for they are the assault of thoughts on the unthinking."

I don't volunteer to be just another in-breeder.

To show et al. that I am actually socialized, I'm soon going to post a thread called "Permanence" that doesn't actually intend to insult anyone else's intelligence. In Astronomy, or something similar.

I'm just doing a drive-by.

Gotta let the rubes think that they actually matter in some scheme of anything.

Nah. I'm not inclined to say anything.

You're all on your own.

Good luck.

I've held actual moon rocks in my hands. You're just a minor player on the spectrum of trying to be relevant.

I had to make it through layers of NASA some stuff to be able to get there.

What have you actually done?

There are forum rules and self-confessed trolling breaks them. So Free Thoughts or not, if you break the rules you render yourself liable to moderation. If it happens (and it's not up to me) it will tell you nothing about James or anyone else here.

But, as you have correctly divined, this being a science forum, its readership contains a fair number of intelligent, educated and informed people - the sort of people and your Führer you like to troll. Hate's a funny thing, isn't it? ;)
