YouTube Favorites

Hmmm.....it won't play at my end unless I 'sign in' and I have never had to do that before with youtube. I don't care to be coerced into opening on-line accounts that are not of my own origin. :bugeye:

I'll just take it on the opinion of you both that it is worth a chuckle. :D

I do agree with your attitude about being coerced, however registering is not a big deal. I encountered it right away do to they wanted to have some assurance that I was an adult before they would allow me to listen to some of the tracks I was searching for. Yeah! I could have lied to them but I didn't need to.

It was because some retard flagged it as "inappropriate"
I was thinking of starting a topic for raunchy inappropriate music, but I haven't worked up the nerve for it yet. I wonder how many people would need to register with YouTube?:D

That would depend on:
a) How raunchy and inappropriate the selections were.
b) How many people want to view them.
c) How many persons would post content to the thread.

If discretion is the better part of valor......

How good will this look on your next resume, a question I'd be asking myself...

Then again, if you can get a government grant and call it 'research into the psychology of public forums', it might look very impressive. :D

Its an internet forum and we hide behind a mask of anonymity :D I wouldn't look too much into it ;)

Killjoy, lets do it! It sounds like a pretty good thing to do just for jokes.

That grant angle sounds good to me. Do you have any experience with grants that would be helpful?

It was just a thought but as you put it, discretion is better.:D

A mask of anonymity.......

I don't believe that for a second.

They can trace our on-line locations far too easily, and even make adjustments on your computer remotely, although it may require you granting them access for repairs/interventions etc.

'They' of course, being any party who is interested in looking closer, for whatever reason may be the priority at the time.

I figure my best shot at anonymity is my real personality.

Not quite crazy, beyond eccentric, tells crazy stories which are all verifiable by public media.

Not considered a danger to self or the general public. :D

Actually I despise people who use public funds for personal gain.

'Twas a cautionary tale, as I don't consider it my place to offer advice. People must be allowed to exercise their own errors in judgement, or so I was taught, unless their actions put their own life or that of others in jeopardy, whence intervention is mandated.

All else is not to be interfered with...the prime directive, lol...:D

Damn, E-trade baby goes broke has been removed for copyright violation.

I'm pretty sure no potential future employers will check all websites I have ever went to, every single internet post I have made etc. Hell, I'm pretty sure not even the CIA can do that, too much work ;)

I use my real self on the internet, but I don't use names, my specific location or etc. so I don't have to worry about identity theft :D Even if the mods here can see my IP, they won't be able to figure out my name, since I'm not on the yellowpages because I'm below the age of majority.

Actually scheherazade was right when she asked how many others would participate in the topic. I've had some good topics and I like that others find them interesting and entertaining. I especially like the ones that keep going a little bit at a time over a long time such as the sad songs topic. However if your going to start topics you have to be prepared for those that get no responses at all and just let them go <RIP>. Also if you expect others to post to your topics it really helps if you post to their topic once in a while.
