WIDE CONCEPT OF TIME

WIDE CONCEPT OF TIME

Time is the set of phenomena occurring by the movements of rotation and translation of the Earth. Among these phenomena, the main ones are: The day, the night, the eclipses, the phases of the Moon, the tides, the climate, the ambient temperature and the duration (units).

The sciences of time are: Astronomy, Meteorology and Philochrony (duration)

So, time is limited to the Earth - and Earth as a whole - then.

The sun does not change over time.
Mars does not experience time.
The stars do not change over time.

In fact, even things on the Earth don't experience time.
Plants and animals do not metabolize from minute to minute.
Chemicals don't react.
Atoms don't move.

Certainly a novel concept.

In the wide definition of time you can change the Earth by any other planet.
Duration is part of the wide time

Time is a concept of human who are alive

Here we go again about TIME

Below is a explanation of my thoughts on the subject

OK here I go with what I hope is a helpful explanation of my opinion as to why I say TIME does not exist

This is a thought experiment so

JUST FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE START OF THIS EXPERIMENT I WILL CONSIDER THE FUTURE AND THE PAST AS EXISTING

Consider a movie film projector

Canister of film on top (FUTURE)

The light / frame between light and lens / lens / screen (NOW)

Canister of film on bottom (PAST)

Consider the canister of film on top to represent 1 day (00:01 to 23:59)

Run the film and stop at random time (10:00am)

System has 14 hours top canister (FUTURE)

NOW on screen

10 hours bottom canister (PAST)

To make it easier to imagine

take the top canister film out and

remove all but 2 minutes

Same with bottom canister leave

2 minutes attached discarded anything older

System has 2 minutes top (FUTURE)

NOW on screen

2 minutes bottom (PAST)

Mark the frame which was showing NOW the screen

Lay the film out on a bench

Looking at the film you should observe differences between each frame and a gap (line) between frames

One line below the FUTURE frame above the NOW frame

One line above the PAST frame below the NOW frame

The line is the moment when a shutter cuts off the light while the frames advance

HOWEVER life does NOT operate like a movie film

NOW is continuous

No cut off while next frame is positioned

Yes for everybody memory is retained from previous NOWs and can be imagined for FUTURE NOWs

The measurement between any two NOWs is known as AGE

Back to the strip of film

Cut off all remaining FUTURE frames

Cut off all remaining PAST frames

Replace the NOW frame in the projector

Within reality you would see the NOW projected on the screen change with no reliance on any FUTURE (or PAST) frames

Since by the explanation just given FUTURE and PAST do not EXIST but NOW continues without either I contend

NOW is the ONLY IT

TIME (as existing in the PAST or

FUTURE) is simply not there

AGE as between two bookmarks (let's change bookmarks to nowmarks)

AGE as between two NOWMARKS can be measured and labelled and AGES compared as well as physical processes occurring on any AGED material

Some substances AGE more (become more disorganised) dispite having the same measurement between NOWs as other substances

Will wind up now and hope this explains my position

There was no time keeper, but there were seasons of vegetation to grow, depending on regions.
How do vegetables grow if there is no chemistry? Chemistry requires time.

In polar region hourly changes are not applicable.
That must suck for all the wildlife flora and fauna. It takes them a day just to blink?

So give me your version
It's not really a personal opinion kind of thing.

Is there something wrong with the universally agreed-upon concept of time ranging from the infinitesimally short times over which atoms and photons operate, to the cosmic times that galactic clusters evolve?

Taking it this way then time is related to energy. We can go to -272 degree were thing supposedly freeze but the we can go further to small forces were energy exist to hold neutrinos and other subatomic particles.

Among others factors, such as altitude and latitude, Earth movements affect the climate.
Earth movements affect magma too, but it doesn't belong in your list.

So, a few days and a dozen posts have passed, giving you plenty of time to elaborate, if you were of a mind.

A few questions:

1. Why you you call this idea "time" when we already use this word and have a clear definition for it?

It is akin to saying "The concept of cars is that they are red and have four doors. Other aspects are irrelevant. The sciences of cars are: vulcanology, metallurgy and colour."

You can see several problems here:
- the concept of cars is already well-defined
- any useful and meaningful definition is certainly more broad than red sedans
- in any meaningful scenario, other cars are not irrelevant
- there are many, many sciences relevant to cars
- colour (and duration) are not sciences

2. Why is it called a "wide" concept, when it is nothing if not exceedingly narrow? I mean, it picks a couple of scales for measuring time, and then summarily ignores the vast majority of other scales. That's kind of the exact opposite of wide.

3. What is its application? As before, we have a definition of time, and we have some convenient time scales already; does picking a few make someone's job easier?

It is akin to saying 'we need a set of rules to deal with only red sedans, excluding others, such as blue coupes'. Who benefits from this exclusion?

Another way of putting this is:
Time is the set of phenomena occurring by the movements of rotation and translation of the Earth.
This is a false statement. That is not what time is.
Anything that follows from this will be false as well.

But that's a little more blunt. Which is why you were given plenty of opportunity to elaborate on your OP.

It seems that I have not given to understand clearly. The BROAD TIME defines the duration and the weather together from its origins.
