I think it was because the Israelites were visiting the whore houses of another village ...not the Midianites...Which makes it totally crazy.
But Israelie archeologists say the story of Mosses was a myth.
...in any event it is lamentable how these good christians don't read their bible and have no idea of the bad stuff it contains ...if they did read it they more likely than not would become Athiest. I said it recently...if you read an engineering book it is clear that it was written by an engineer, you read a chemistry book it is clear that it was written by a chemist but you read the bible it is clear that it was neither written or inspired by a god.

That denial is consistent with your other denials...pleading ignorance is no defense although in your case maybe it should be given your total inability to recognise glaring flaws in your deliveries.
I must say Jan I am happy to see you seem to be much better than the emotional wreck that you were the other day and back to what I would call you old self and less emotional.
You do such a wonderful job of showing how a religious person will defend immoral and terrible deeds and justify murder and rape because you see it as the word of God.
It is clear to me that such a terrible approach could come from the various passages in the bible like the ones that I have presented in this thread that women are not the equal of man and must be treated as underlings and to witness you defend murder and rape really cements the case that religion is not a good place to get your morals...

It's is little wonder that Christians have murdered more people than any other group in history...why don't they ever put that on a bill board outside a church instead of Jesus saves....And of course these good religious folk dont see that they do terrible things in any way because they were doing gods work...I think of all the poor people murdered by righteous men in the name of god via the crusades, the reformation, the inquisition, the witch hunts and the terrible killings in WW2 due to years of hate being preached ...and no doubt you realise I cover just a few horrors...I see these terrible acts as unforgivable and for you to come here and act like it is all a joke tells me that religion is evil and very nasty as in you we can see what appears to be a decent human become an appologist for rape and murder and incapable of even understanding the thrust of the movement against sexism...you have become an air thief...it is a pity you can not take your morality from atheists and exhibit their decency and rejection of rape and murder.
