How many of you wear, carry or have paraphernalia [chains, stickers, bumper stickers, ornaments, clothing] that proclaim your religious or areligious belief?

Why do you have them?

I don't have any, except my books, but since I have books of/about many religions thats not an identification of my beliefs

I only have a Bible. And i only ever have that on me when i am reading it.

I don't carry any symbols or have any stickers of clothes with religious slogans on them.

All Praise The Ancient Of Days

I keep a keychain in my pocket (not with my keys on it) commemorating a road trip I took with my wife to see Kerouac's "On the Road" scroll on opening day.

I carry a passage from the Bible in my wallet.
NIV Matthew 12:30 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. 31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.

I have a wooden Aum symbol a friend brought me from India hanging off a pocket zipper on the chest of a jacket I wear often:

I have my mother's wedding ring on my keychain.

And I wear my wedding ring everywhere I go.

That sums the religious paraphernalia I generally carry with me - and it sums me up fairly well.

If you look at the books on my philosophy and religion shelves, on the other hand, you would have no idea at all who I am.

The only thin I carry is a can opener (p38).

Anyone who says "He who is not with me is against me" seems like a good person to be against.

Here we can detect a great deal of 'Pollster Bias' ... we are lead by the question itself to suppose that the ONLY reason we have to carry Religious Objects (not 'paraphenalia') is to advertise our beliefs... Religious People only being Motivated by some overall Plot to Corrupt Decent Atheists.

Might it be supposed that a Religious Person would carry a Religious Object (not paraphernalia) because of some intrinsic benefit?

I carry a Brown Scapular. Those who carry Brown Scapulars will be rescued out of Purgatory itself by Mary.

I also carry a Miraculous Medal, as it has come to be called, originally called the Medal of the Immaculate Conception. Those who where the Miraculous Medal will know the Grace of Mary, faith or not... just wearing the Medal is enough.

I also wear a Cord of Saint Philomena... purity and devotion. And my Godmother told me that she would murder me unless I also wore the Cord of Saint Joseph and daily said his Prayer, which I have come to appreciate.

And, no, I don't give a rats ass whether it converts a single Atheist. I would be just as happy to see them all burn in Hell.

You are a poster child for your religion. Your mother must be so proud. Keep up the good work, and don't ever let those monotheists get you down!

It's interesting to note what is learned from religion that would turn what might be a normal person into a sadistic maniacal brute.

What one learns from atheism is that people are, for the most part, compassionate beings, capable of accomplishing great achievements, but are fettered by medieval ideologies.

I guess. I have this necklace that has a Green Man/Celtic Knot (obverse/reverse) symbol on a copper pendant. I don't usually wear it, though.
I also have a couple printed tees that have things relating to various pagan gods on them.

Why do you have them?
Partly as an expression of faith and symbolic of my religious beliefs affecting my everyday life. And partly because I like what they (pendant and also the shirts) look like; it's aesthetically appealing to me.
