I would say books that can carry you away on adventures that no one has ever thought up before or drive you crazy trying to figure out who did it. The written book has always been the best way to to stimulate the mind and teach it as well. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Everybody's different. Some respond most strongly to pictures. There are even some for whom it's dance. Humor gets through to almost everybody, and if done well it can go deep. I would argue visual stimulation, only based on my own personal experience. I imagine a combination of several forms of artistic expression is the most powerful potentially, or is that cheating? ;oP

Anything that stimulates the most senses. Stimulation doesnt always mean it is better though. And much of it that can be considered stimulating is talentless crap that relies on outdoing the last crap that came before it. The best art uses the most simple medium. A brush, some oil paint and a canvas throw in some creativity and ingenuity and i would take one of those over one million crackpot shockmeister hacks. Well the main point is that the artist was stimulated and no more mental stimulation from the work is needed or wanted. I should seek out to stimulate?
