Bombing of my PM box

Has anyone here had their PM box bombed by RainbowSingularity?
Rainbow bombed my Personal Message box with three consecutive long rambling PMs. I can only assume it had something to do with 'him' saying ( in another thread) I'm gaslighting.
Yes, I have reported it...Don't get on the wrong side of the Rainbow...Some very dark colours there.
I'm ignoring 'him' now.
 
No, that’s never happened to me but now I have my pm’s deactivated.

Is that a violation of forum rules? (would it be considered spam?)

I have not experienced this, but then I've had RS on Ignore for quite a while.

Sounds creepy - thanks for the warning.
 
I haven't had that problem that I can recall. I rarely get PM's.

I think it's better to put someone on hold than to deactivate PM's (just my opinion). Deactivate PM's is annoying in the sense that someone can send you a PM and I think you can reply but if you send them a new PM, now it says they don't accept PM's.

It's kind of odd that someone can initiate PM's to you but you can't do the same to them.
It's not really much of an issue but if someone isn't rude I have no problem with anyone sending me a PM. If they are rude, I can just put them on ignore.

I have a few people on ignore, Rainbow isn't one of them but he meets many of my requirements for putting people on ignore. I think the few I have on ignore were put there mainly due to volume and for just being absolutely insane in their posts. :)

Rainbow obviously is trying to be annoying but does at least attempt to make some points based in reality. There's nothing wrong with Rainbow that dialing back the medications probably wouldn't fix.

I've just checked and I'm now up to 20 people on Ignore on this forum (Write4U being the most recent addition) - though 5 or 6 of them have not posted for a long time. Funny how it has mounted up. I think Magical Realist was the first, but it's all so long ago now.....

You have to be careful or there will be no new posts. I don't think 20 people currently post. :)

I just checked mine and several are banned and several more don't post often. Arfa Brane, River, and Nebel are the only ones who really post I'm guessing. I'm pretty lenient and don't put many on ignore. There are some that I just generally ignore when I see them posting but I rarely actually put people on ignore.

I still seem to see plenty and I get a lot less annoyed than I used to. But I'll go through the list and take off the people who seem to have more or less stopped posting and see how many are left.

Actually I only took 3 off. The rest seem occasionally to appear still - people like DMOE for instance.

(Sometimes I look at the site without logging on, which means I see everything, but the Ignore function is a reminder that I should resist the temptation to get involved in threads where these people are active, so it helps me.)
 
I think it's kinda shameful (yes, I'm not aware of situation beyond what is post here) to call out another member specifically.

I have no one on ignore, I just don't read their posts.

Most of them are stupid Keto junk so not really count

There's no point in you putting those on Ignore. They only post once and the mods ban them anyway. I don't waste my time Ignoring all the alter egos of Reiku, Theorist or Dennis Markuze, for example. The people I put on Ignore are those that don't get banned and who I find perennially annoying.

Well, there is another point to make about 'his' PMs to me, the text was normal black, and not 'his' usual spectrum. Now, that is creepy.

It's just that I didn't think Rainbow was like that.
Spam? That's another thing, I would have thought Rainbow was a vegan with all that airy fairy splattering of 'his'.

I have a short attention span and mild dyslexia so I don't read long posts.

I found the post you are referring to regarding “gas lighting,” but I didn’t think you were gas lighting. But everyone is entitled to their own perspective so. . .
