Eta Carinae

    So, what goes on with Eta Carinae? A variable object, going from not being able to be seen with the naked eye to the second brightest object in the heavens. Spewing out matter on a slow steady rate. Candidate for nova in the future and possibly not far in the future. Hubble Space Telescope watches this object on a regular basis. Estimate to be between 7500 and 10000 ly’s away. Speculations? Additional info?
