It is incredibly fashionable for people to bash the US as warmongers, and they do it without even looking at a bit of history outside of the 20th Century. Lets get a little sense of perspective here. The US is nothing compared to many other nations.
May I correct your american education a bit? The Dutch fought an independence war with Spain. The British never conquered Holland. The Germans ran over holland in a few days. The Dutch government surrendered after the Germans used the new weapon of terror, perfected in the Spanish war. The mass bombing of civilians.
