Assuming the soul exists, and that it needs saving from something.

We certainly know that the body exists. When it comes to the soul it's harder to verify because we assume that since it cannot be seen then it's but a chimera as materialists would believe. However this belief is false as reality is dually self-contained. Both Quantum and Classical are one.

Show me the soul, and I'll accept it exists.

I personally have verified that the soul is real(ity). You will require a superior intellect to test and understand reality. And to sift out real from false.

I personally verified that Santa Claus and unicorns are real(ity) but the dog ate my homework.

You require a different intellect, much as you require a drug-induced intellectual perturbation to perceive pink elephants.

Haha. You are so funny and delightful.

I'm sure that if a spontaneous pink elephant appeared in front of me I'd know it was an hallucination.

So to be a good Christian when there's no one else around, you could, theoretically, masturbate in God's name and save yourself from eternal damnation?

Most Christians I've known claim everything they do is for the gloryofgod.

So how did you verify that the soul is not a hallucination?

    You've made that up.

Jesuit priests use Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam at the head of their writings, but nobody else to my knowledge. But perhaps the only Christians you know are Jesuits.

Your experiences being different from mine does not mean I made anything up. If you had mentioned yours 1st, I could have made the same accusation.

This isn't just my "experience". Google Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam and see who it is who uses it.
