I've been around long enough to recognize that sort of vacuous ego-defense mechanism, which is just so much more blood in the water. It's not an assumption, it's a reasoned conclusion from your support of the party of racism, bigotry and sexism. If you don't have any arguments against it other than "nuh-uh!" and "you're deluded!" then there is indeed no point in your trying to argue it. If what you want is a pat on the back to reassure you that you're still a good personal despite supporting callous selfishness and regression, then you should go find some GOP circle-jerk somewhere. Difficult not to, when Republicans keep making a point of being all of those things. I haven't ever stood for election, and don't plan to next time. You seem to be using the term "you" to refer to "the Democratic Party." Not sure why.
