    If people hadn't bothered to check the link, under the pic: " The yellow cardinal has a rare genetic mutation which blocks its ability to produce red pigmentation, leaving it a vibrant yellow. (Jeremy Black)".

    To me, that was superficially interesting because, well, I guess I'm comfortable with my ignorance on genetics. And the pic was cool enough itself. But, if this is the rise of some kind of bird and superbird philosophy...

    I saw a humming bird in the backyard today and thought of this thread. Wish I had a camera.
