So tell me perplexity, how should the subject of "fisting" be approached on a pshychology forum. Perhaps we just aren't adult enough to handle it, like Genji says.

It might have been a good idea to precede with a vote on whether to handle it at all, or something to that effect, gently, short of jumping in at the deep end, so to speak.

Honestly, did you seriously expect it to pass off in a scientific fashion, with no comment of the sort we've seen? In the event, that would have amazed me.

During a discussion on evolution Woody's contrived arguments and snide, offensive personal remarks led to me characterising him as 'a nasty piece of work'. I reflect on that accusation each time I read his posts. His conduct here, the motivation for which which I believe perplexity has accurately nailed, serves only to confirm that judgement.
Fisting, Woody, is something that does not interest me personally, scientifically, socially, or in any way whatsoever. Nor has it ever. Nor, I suspect, will it ever. Indeed, I find the concept rather distasteful. Therefore, to use your terminology, as a person of science I have no objective reason to take an interest in it, or to pay any heed to your posts on the topic. Like perplexity, my interest is in your trite, self righteous, arrogant, contrived, patronising attitude.

May I take it that your little tirade was in defense of Woody? Do you deny the motivation ascribed to him by perplexity? Or were you just looking to stir things up a bit? No change there then. I must say things had gone rather quiet from you since your embarassing discussion of your forthcoming exploits with young Thai whores. The thread was locked if I recall correctly, but not before you had shown yourself to be more reprehensible than I had imagined - and that takes some doing.

It was sarcasm, something that bounces over your egg head, sarcasm is something you hear every time a scientist opens his mouth, oh there is going to be global warming, oh there is going to be global cooling, do you know how many scientists have made opposing views to this over the decades, thousands, including ones contradicting there own previous views on the subject.
