How practical is to use nanotechnology to repair body tissues ? How close are we to using nanotechnology to replace damaged tissues ? perhaps replace damaged body organs ?

I think one of the best ways to gauge the potential applications of a given technology in medical therapeutics, and to get a glimpse at the ideas and directions scientists are pursuing, is to browse through the publications in the relevant journal(s). In this case, the journal Nanomedicine: Nanotechnology, Biology and Medicine seems to be appropriate. There are other journals as well.

Otherwise, start Googling for some more generalist sources – there are lots of them. This one seems to be a good one: Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies.
