This raises a general question pertinent to this thread.

It seems to me to be elementary that any theist already has a general answer to the thread question. Presumably it is to uphold the will of their god in some fashion.

I suppose there are variations on what that 'will' might be, but does that pretty much capture it?

Which theory leads to a belief in god?

God is spirit and God. Put the earth in place and give life to the earth. God communicate with man through its spirit.

The purpose of life ; is To Experience Life .

The soul/mind needs a corporeal experience to learn what a physical experience can mean .

Inotherwords ; the purpose of life is to

Experiencing life is a by-product of a living being needing to defend itself from predation. There is no implication of purpose in evolution, it's a passive process with no direction.

Really , just from predation ?

So Galapagos islands taught you nothing about evolution ?

How so? The sensory organs are there to prevent predation, otherwise we would just be like ferns.

Enough to adapt to threats , to a point. The same as our Human immune system , adapts to threats ; to a point .

    To experience material things .

So that the soul/mind can understand , what being in a material form means .
