so, according to your reasoning people that agree with each other are not thinking on their own?

I don't know what read-only was expecting but its the cyberspace for crying out. Anybody can post anything and anybody can even "copy and paste". The spread here is a staggering reflection or microcosm of the real world. What else are you going to expect from forums with free thoughts, cesspool, and other oh so trivial threads, threads which by the way are usually more flooded with posts per minute. In fact 57 people were vieiwing the "free thoughts" section right now, more than any other thread. Plus, there are few actual specialist on Sciforums, most people are just here to dabble into topics that pick their fancy, sort of like floating here and there to gain knowledgeable stuff.

No, just you. You've pretty much just regurgitated his thoughts.

Well, first I regurgitated them in his mouth like a mother bird feeding her young.

    I'm just loving like that.

    You hungry?

I don't know what this says about those who feel the need to air the issue publicly, then. If it is an issue between the moderators, then it should be an issue between the moderators.

13-7. That's almost 2:1. When do the polls close on the East Coast?

Do you think it's an issue for moderator's only?

I don't know think it's an issue that needs any public opinion polls.

    Is 65% a mandate?

Do you think that this thread is a bad thing?

Public opinion has been measured, and people have had a chance to discuss it... some of us have even done so intelligently. Isn't that what [ENC]SciForums[/ENC] is all about?

Could you point me to the exact declaration, which would be a statement that is emphatic and explicit, by definition.

I have no problem with the poll, but it seems like it was started to justify some position that nexus took. Maybe it's just me.

I fail to see what end nexus wanted to achieve with this poll. Presumably the poll results won't change anything, except now one side has some levarage against the other side. Someone can say "See! 13 other people agree with me!".

Either the opinion of the people who care matters or it doesn't. If the opinions of SciForums members do matter, then aparently Read-Only gets an apology. If our input doesn't matter, then there is no need for this issue to be aired in public, and no need for this bullshit poll.

The points have all been made in the other thread, and were promptly written off by nexus and sam. From what I can gather, the same discussion has happened in the "secret forum", whatever that means. This is an issue for the moderators to discuss, and find set policy for similar situations in the future.
