    It is not the same as celibacy. Celibacy is a form of self-torture. If one simply abstains from releasing their sexual energy, it has no place to go and is wasted. Under celibacy, your sexual organs will eventually become dormant, which does have some benefits... but sexual/creative energy is a very powerful force that can be tapped into and sublimated.

    Remember that everything originates from thought. So imagine now, if as a man you are no longer thinking about sex every 90 seconds, but of becoming mentally tough or accomplishing some task? It it more possible to accomplish great things with the right mindset.

    That's what was implied by ceremonial celibacy, sorry I wasn't more descriptive.
