Oh yes. Considering that I'm also a GnR fan, this was a natural. We saw them on tour in 2005 and I've learned the bass to "Slither," which was a bit of a challenge. Scott Weiland is quite versatile. His vocals in this band don't sound like the same person as in STP. They covered one of the GnR tunes that wasn't written by Axl (sorry don't remember the title and haven't got the resources handy to look it up) and he nailed that too. I heard him on one of those melange-of-stars concerts on VH1 and he was singing in yet another style. Very impressive.

In no particular order... Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same Guitar masterpiece. Humble Pie - 4 Day Creep Rocks my balls off every time. Cream - Sunshine of Your Love From the era before Clapton became Crapton. U2 - The Joshua Tree Yeah, the whole album. I can't pick just one. Beatles - Everybody's Got Something to Hide Except for Me and My Monkey The lyrics are kinda stupid, but it just sounds so damn cool. Rage Against the Machine - Guerilla Radio Killer riff. Plus, they're just so...pissed off! AC/DC - Beating Around the Bush Another killer riff. The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again I know, it's a played out rock anthem. I don't care. The Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knocking A great rock song, followed by a great jazz instrumental. Jimi Hendrix - Spanish Castle Magic Psychedelic heaven. I could go on all day, but I tried to stick with 10 entries. I'd also mention You Really Got Me, by The Kinks and Train Kept A Rolling by the Yardbirds.

Bob Dylan I've only listed the names of the groups or person for they all did so much that I cannot just pick just one piece that I enjoy.
I'm glad you added that. I thought their first three albums, when they were called "the American Black Sabbath," were some of the best music in history. They took metal in a new direction and nobody ever followed them, such a shame. Then they sold out and got "Don't Fear the Reaper" on AM radio. Yeah, everybody needs to make a living. Yeah, in retrospect it's not even that bad a song considering the stinking piles of Corporate Rock that filled out the rest of that decade. Yeah, as one of the guys in Asia said, "If people want to hear that kind of music then as professionals it's our duty to give them the best of it that can possibly be made." I still prefer "Baby Ice Dog" and "Seven Screaming Dizbusters."
