At exactly 3:00, there is a man wearing a hat. What is that hat called, and what people wear it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mumG3p3mb68 The house looks nice, too, if anyone knows the type of architecture.
Don't know about the house, but the hat looks like a common felt hat or town hat, also known as fedora.
I don't know what the hat is called, but it looks like traditional German attire. It could be one of those: http://www.dianajagdstube.at/catalog/index.php?cPath=1_106. The house looks traditional German style - http://travel.webshots.com/photo/1457107373035513106nXSHCN. Probably best to go to a library and check photo books of traditional German attire, and also of Austrian, Swiss and Danish.
The hat is conical. The Japanese wear a conical hat called a non-la. Wizards wear them too. Four Golden conical hats have been found in central Europe. Thought to be ceremonial. This is the Avanton Golden hat from France c1000 BC Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_hats
well Any kid here in Pennsylvania wear similar hat, and you can get them in our Farmer Market for 5 dollars or so. BUT if we turn the time back, this is a Inca hat. When I went to Peru that's the hat wore by the peasants in the Market, multicolored... and very heavy knitted with llama wool...
Looks like an Alpine hat - as Signal mentioned, worn by Germans, Austrians, Swiss, &tc. http://static.zoovy.com/img/bamtar/-/suppliers/beistle/oktoberfest_german_alpine_hat_grey_60243.jpg The architectural style is called Fachwerk - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timber_framing ps: That song is somewhat irritating.
Great! Cuz I don't have one. And if I did, I would have only bought it as a gag gift, and probably thrown it away or sold it to some schmuck. I certainly would never have worn it! Stupid golden hat... stupid DODO hat! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
At approximately 3:00 is Red Green. Or Michael Chertoff with a beard. But more to the point, that video was just a little disturbing. Didn't watch it before. I'm glad the little buggers were chased out of the forest.
About half way down this: http://wilbau.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html are some guys wearing that hat in their, and its, native environs.
