    We must start a Surrealist fan club.......could it be that they were painting the notion of the unconscious,,drawing towards the conscious....,pure psychic automation..the real function of the mind..... intellectual androgyny..... Does anyone know about the notion of figurative Surrealism?......

    I got to see a vangogh exhibit in chicago a year ago or so. I have always loved art but I wasn't prepared to be so completely taken with some of his paintings. It is a cliche but seeing a print or picture in a book does absolutely no justice to the beauty.

    There are many others but one that has always stayed with me was one I saw as a child called the triumph of death. A gigantic display of grim reapers on a path of destruction. Awesome.

    Surrealism seems very popular,have you seen Delvaux..the village of the sirens..and ENCHER..Still Life.
