No I did not see that, but knew all that and more: A German bee keeper learned how to understand and follow this argument/ merits discussion, and PREDICTED where the swam was going to go. It happened the bees had chosen the attic of an abandoned rail station, and that was the only posibility where they could go in accordance with the bee's final agreeent /decision. So he was 100% correct, and waiting for them to arrive with a few he had told they were coming!

I have mentioned the following before, but bees have about two octaves of sensitivity to light. They see* quite far out into the UV. All the flowers that are white, to humans, have various different colors to the bee. So in a field with several white to humans flowers, they go straight to the variety that currently is flowing with nectar. - a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with flowering plants much greater than most humans know.

    * But they don't see objects as we do. One day when most of my bees were out of the hive, I moved it a few (3?) feet to one side of where it was. Soon there was a dense cloud of confused bees in front of where it was. They individually found it as they wandered around, but did not ever see it as an image. I understand how the use their eyes to navigate to spot they have been to before, but it is hard to explain. Briefly they remember the relative intensity and color of all the rays coming from different angles. They also use the sun's poisiton and gravity direction. They see polarized light and even if the sun is behind the clouds, the sky's polarized light tells them where it is.
