Why do Americans still dislike atheists?

    Many things "make sense", but we don't necessarily believe or do them just because they "make sense".
    A priori is much stronger than "makes sense". "Makes sense" still gives room for some further reasoning or negotiation, but a priori does not.

    since being here on Sciforums, i have learned the difference between 'evidence' and 'testimonies' when it comes to God.

    evidence is objective.
    testimonies are subjective.

    God does not want to be objective. (statement based on dismissal of evidence posited by believers, by non-believers)

    either way there is nothing wrong with 'further reasoning' when it comes to God,without it we are stuck with 'do as your told'.

    actually it could be argued that stuff is subjective..it could be argued (and has been by some) that they are subjective to the authors experience..(did it really happen or is it the authors embellishment to solidify a point..):shrug:
    (not arguing whether it happened or not..)
