Clearly this shape can only be built if all the pieces are NOT identical. There are three possibilities. If only one is different, then start assembling the pieces in the obvious way and save the different one for last. It's probably the key.

If the pieces are all different, then you've got a serious puzzle and there's no way we can help you by writing about it.

If there are two pieces that are not like the rest but they're identical to each other, that would be really strange and I don't know what to say.

I sympathize with you. I can usually figure out wooden puzzles, but those little wire puzzles always baffle me.

    all 6 are different.
4 are unique while 2 are mirror images of each other.
1 is solid while the other 5 have notches on them.
on the page i linked to there is a photo of the disassembled pieces in a package.
5 pieces are visible while the sixth is obscured by the label.

i got the puzzle from cardinal games.
i went to their website and requested assembly instructions and never heard from them.
this particular puzzle is not listed on their website, apparently it's too old.

this puzzle is intermediate compared to the others i have.
i have 2 more that will be a major undertaking to solve.
if i get this one solved i'll post the particulars on the others.

    EDIT:
here is a picture of the pieces

sorry about the size, i'm new to this image hosting business.

    Solution

I remember doing this puzzle a few years back. You shouldn't use the solution yet. Keep trying

leopold99 .... Why do you get these puzzles for yourself then want others to do the figuring out of the answers for you? Can't you get into something that you enjoy doing by yourself? Or do you always need help with everything you do?
