What if the modern day travelling through aeroplane has shortened the time between distant places? As suppose i think travelling from bombay to london is of considerable distance round the globe earth several kilometers and hours between. But the pilots somehow say some spell and a portal opens in the sky. And the time distance which is say 15 hours is reduced to 4 hours through time travelling portals. If these portals weren't been there or the pilots never knew of such things, would then there would had been considerable losses in fuel expenses and time too? what do you think?

as far as i personally know, there are two recent in time incidents reported and one from like the 1950's, both looked into.
if i remember correctly they both have occurred around or off of the east coast or northern hemisphere region

Think this through. If pilots could say 'some spells and open portals' why not do so while still on the ground? Why wait four hours into a fifteen hour trip? Just do you Harry Potter thing from home and 'apparate' directly to your destination of choice. I smell woo.
