Are we being snowed under with religion/God orientated threads?

And for the most part, it's meant as an euphemism for "putting up with."

The people who are so big on promoting tolerance would have a far better case if they themselves would demonstrate tolerance.
 
People have forgotten what real intolerance even looks like. Basically, if you can speak your mind without getting burned at the stake or having your house graffitied, you are being tolerated. Noone ever said you have a right not to be disagreed with.

Being burnt at the stake and being ridiculed are two, albeit somewhat distant points on the same continuum, but they are on the same continuum.
