Chavez Shuts Down Free Speech!

Chavez reports out of channel 8.
He told anybody that opposes him not to believe the lies, and to change their mind to support him.
The corrupt TV stations continue to report pure lies over and over.
Freedom of speech is one thing. Speak your opinion. Brainwashing and false propaganda with deceptive intent for the sake of profit is another. False advertising, scams, and any form of fraud upon consumers and the public should not be tolerated.

would you rather die and your family fighting for cause or....would you rather wait 10 or so years until Chavez is gone and live on the normal lifes?

War is not to be tolerated. What do you mean by wait 10 years? Or even normal life? Do you even know what you are talking about because I sure don't.
Chavez is leading a revolution. Every single day, more is accomplished. If he can turn Venuzuela around in 10 years, great. If I lived there, I could either get very involed or sit there and wait. Who really cares? As long as they don't go down the drain, and become evil like America, I am all for it.

Hey, Dan Rather did it when he brought up the fake documents on Bush's AWOL and he got fired. Chavez said to clean up the station's act or else and they decided not to. What do you expect him to do when they pull stuff like say he's resigned and other lies they've done? Go ahead and criticize the president, just don't be full of shit, especially when you're supposedly a news organization.

Oh, so there was a legal trial and everything over those issues?? I didn't know that. I thought Chaves just played full-out dictator and pulled the plug.

I didn't realize that the station had been tried and convicted of violating the laws, and the sentence was shutting down the tv station. Since you implied that happened, then ...well, I'm sorry for bad-mouthing Chaves.

All those stations deserve to be shut down for their fraudulent acts. All individuals have the right to a fair trial. A business itself can be shut down legally for any violations just like you get ticketed for a broken tail light, and told to leave your car at home until you get it fixed. Only an idiot thinks a TV station needs to be tried and convicted. "I didn't realize that the station had been tried and convicted of violating the laws". What a total joke.

Same here. It's amazing how many dunces actually believe the lies. Many of them know they are lying, and jump on the bandwagon for supremist reasons.

Oh my.

You cannot shut down a TV station because it does not support your agenda or because it might criticise your stance or Government. Forcing the media, and most importantly journalists, to tow the nationalistic lines will result in the brainwashing and deceiving the masses. It is best to have an open and at times, critical media.

Chavez threatened to shut down the country's last opposition TV station as students took to the streets for a third day, protesting what they say is an assault on free speech.
Chavez also blames Bush for all this. And he has threatened to "knock down" all the protestors. Just like when he ordered police to "shoot to kill" them in 02. He looks more like Castro every day. And Pat Robertson isn't looking so crazy right now.
