Existence...

God is modeled on what humans do?

The Christian concept of reward and punishment
Handed out by an omnipotent, omniscient God,
Is derivative of the family experience,
The child and parent, a conception of our world.

Myth’s performance is now over its tasks;
The artists have taken off their masks.
The illusion is fading; it couldn’t last;
The science behind is appearing fast.

They tried to undo evolution’s pace of snails,
But the stratified fossils ever told the tales
Of no special humans at once unveiled,
But of only natural selection’s weathered sails.

On and on they say of Who paved the way,
Then even tell the nature of such Theity,
And on and on they presume further upon,
Joining that group called ‘On and On Anon’.

Science has become a god . Unfortunately .

Science has its faults . Unfortunately .

With covid its getting much closer . Science is much closer to being worshiped.
Not much sign of science being worshipped by (ex-)President Trump and his many followers, from where I'm standing. On the contrary, lots of your countrymen seem to be willing to demonstrate in the streets against the science.

Trump knew the Science as true . It saved his life .

What countrymen am I ?

Without mathematics, there would be no worship of Science, there would be no Science at all, only God.

True , sad to say .

Disagree

In the more profound sciences , intellectually stimulating sciences have nothing to do with mathematics . It is with three dimensional physical objects . The study of .

That is only part of it.

IMO, in toto, science is the study and codification of natural patterns

Why do we study patterns in nature?

By studying patterns in nature, we gain an appreciation and understanding of the world in which we live and how everything is connected. And, by engaging Nature, we acquire a deeper connection with our spiritual self. We are surrounded by a kaleidoscope of visual patterns – both living and non-living.
We are surrounded by a kaleidoscope of visual patterns – both living and non-living. Clouds, trees, rocks, sunflowers, ants at work, birds flocking. Our sun’s rays breaking through heavy clouds, the breathtaking drama of storm cells, the symmetry of butterfly wings, the algorithmic nature of sea shells, and the ordered geometry of spider webs.

We marvel at the vaulting beauty of mountain peaks and the cracks, fissures, shapes, and colors of rocks.
Our ears sense and appreciate patterns as well.
Whenever we hear music of any variety, we hear patterns that affect our emotions in many ways. We hear patterns in animal sounds whether it is a coyote howling, a bird chirping, or a person speaking.

Another large group of natural patterns that can be empirically observed are categorized as “fractal”. A fractal pattern looks the same close up as it does far away. A magnified portion appears to be the same general shape as the main body of the pattern. This characteristic is called “self similarity”. One can easily observe fractal patterns in trees, ferns, and the structure of human lungs. By noting these similar structures in a wide variety of natural objects, we sense a connectivity of some sort between these objects.
By making detailed observations, we hope to describe patterns more rigorously. This analytical process, a pattern in itself, helps us understand how a pattern becomes a pattern in the first place. It is the precursor to defining the real cause/effect relationship that results in both pattern formation and the interrelationship between patterns.

Patterns in the Physical .

No, I am talking about patterns in "everything". It only has to be physical for observation.

More than that , it has to physical from the start , to the minutist, tiniest before being observable , to being physically observable . To us . It always was physical .

As I said "for observation". But we can observe only a tiny part of reality.

Because it a wholly subjective statement and we KNOW that the best we can do is GUESS.
The rest is hubris.

We exist . Nothing , no-thing , can not ever become a thing . We have been through this before Write4U .
