Favorite artwork

I once saw a storm developing over southern Illinois. There was lightning jumping from cloud to cloud. THEN suddenly sheet lightning. It covered a patch the we estimated to be ten miles by ten miles. That's one hundred square miles of lightning at once. "Some what impressive, old Bean."
I was in Champaign-Urbana the summer of 2016 and saw exactly the same thing.
 
We were very close to there. You know where that VA hospital is down there? Close to that.
Not really, I was visiting the university there, the storm suddenly appeared and we were treated to an amazing light show I've never seen before. Were you there the same year?
 
Not 2016, no. I was living in St. Louis and visiting friends in Kentucky. We went down there about twice a year, late spring and late fall. The year in question was a high summer thing, friends getting married.
