Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment

Ah I get you now.
We are part of nature. We act according to our nature...
We aren't "going against" nature.

we attempt to destroy and circumvent nature all the time. birth control is not natural. abusing and sodomizing a child is not natural. raping the planet for the sake of making money off of some bobble is not natural. everybody and their children on drugs is not natural. obesity is not natural. slavery is not natural. war is not natural. having sex with battery operated machinery is not natural. and the list goes on...

Nope. Sin is a religious concept.
And it's not a "law". (Neither legal nor physical).

yep. sin is anything that results in sickness, suffering, and death. greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride are not concepts, they are very real things that make us all suffer, because according to law, the results of these things are destruction.

Ok fine, but you aren't doing a great job in conveying it.

well just maybe you're not doing a great job of understanding what i'm saying.

:p

i hereby challenge your claim to freedom.

are you trying to tell me that you spend every moment of your life doing exactly what you want to do? with no contraints? that all of the desires of your heart are fulfilled at all times? in regards to yourself (are you truly who you want to be?). in regards to your health? your state of mind? you have complete and sustained peace in regards to all things? you have true love? you have unbridled intimacy and honesty with everyone you meet? you have complete trust in everyone and everything and no fear whatsoever? you are joyous at all times? you are never lonely? you are never abused? you aren't taken advantage of by anyone or anything? nothing you are or want to be is ever supressed or repressed? all of your questions answered? no doubt? no reservation?

REALLY?!?!?!?!

Rather than address each of those individually: as previously stated - WE are part of nature, therefore whatever we do is also part of nature.

yep. sin is anything that results in sickness, suffering, and death.
Nope that would be bacteria, accidents, etc

greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride are not concepts
That's right, but the classification of them as sin is a religious concept.

they are very real things that make us all suffer, because according to law, the results of these things are destruction.
Not according to law, rather according to religion...

yes, PLEASE don't address those things individually, because then your arguement goes to shit. the reason we suffer is because we inherently have no respect for what we are a part of.

Nope that would be bacteria, accidents, etc

gluttony and sloth is not bacteria, and rape and murder is no accident.

That's right, but the classification of them as sin is a religious concept.

assign whatever label to it that you want, those things i mentioned still result in the same outcome.

Wrong much?

the reason we suffer is because we inherently have no respect for what we are a part of.
Nope.

gluttony and sloth is not bacteria, and rape and murder is no accident.
There was an etc. on there.
And "gluttony and sloth" don't kill or cause disease (unless taken to extremes, but then again doing anything to extremes isn't good for you).

assign whatever label to it that you want, those things i mentioned still result in the same outcome.
Doesn't affect the fact that it's not a law though.

arguement dismissed due to blindness.

REALLY?!?!?!?!

There are consequences to every choice you make. There's no way around that. It's inherent to reality.
We are free to make the choices we want to make.

wow...way to avoid my questions and miss the point. :bravo:

I stand by my answer. Most your questions, individually, are irrelevant to the issue of freedom.

no they're not.

and your answer in regards to freedom is irrelevant, because you make choices under constraint.
