On the idea of time in physics-relativity

Actually i want to understand why not??!!

Looking at what Eram said again, its not that bad, but I would rather it be different.
ERAM said:
When Einstein came along, he re-interpreted the ideas of Lorentz by saying that Rover could consider himself to be "stationary in the ether" so that his ruler was not length contracted, and his clock was not time dilated, and the light reflects off his mirrors simultaneously, and all those things happen to Homer instead. Thus he showed that the concept of an absolute ether rest state was useless as any inertial state is indistinguishable from it.

I was thinking nothing can be assumed to be at rest, so everyone's ruler is length contracted to some extent, everyone's clocks are time dilated to the same extent, and in no situation will the light reflect off his mirrors simultaneously, they all happen to everyone and not just Homer!
Could you live with that?

Oh, that was just a copy-and-paste from ash's original post (#607, Pg 31)

Actually,this was explained in ether frame.. No need to use ether frame.. at last did you see those who understand relativity,look at the videos in the point of reference??

It actually described the history of relativity from MME to SR. So you could see using ether frame. But you do understand relativity,so look in the point of reference. that you will understand what i said. Before Einstein proposed his theory everyone used absolute frame "ether frame"..

@Robittybob1

I didn't made the video. The one who made was explaining the history from MME to SR. I saw that he explained MME with the help of PR. So i thought that post would be useful in this discussion.. I said because don't complain that he used ether frame.. He was describing history of it...

Well that is all history then. Let's get on with the discussion. I try to quote properly when I use someone else's words to stop this confusion as to who said what.

And what point are you talking about now?

You seem to have a very unusual way of building sentences, to the point where I just about can't understand you. What country do you come from? I'm sorry, but I'm none the wiser after reading your reply.

I will say what i meant. In ether frame,you can consider any object moving with respect to it to contract,time dilation. But we can explain the known natural phenomena without ether. That theory that explain is SR. Do you understand now?

I am sure i have made my points clear now..

Yes. I am sorry.. I didn't write the sentences properly. Even i am finding difficult to understand!! I will make sure that this does not happen in the future.
