I always try to be neutral and refer to a god or gods (lower case g), and I usually refer to the Christian god whose name just happens to be God (note upper case for a name).
But given that the majority of members here are from the USA, UK, and Australia where the dominant religion is Christianity then it is not surprising that the debates tend to revolve around that religion.
It is also difficult to move onto other religions where most have little experience or knowledge, but that does happen occasionally.
