Prevalence of Race related threads

If you go back far enough, we are all supposed to be from the cradle of life - Africa!

Let's talk about yeast. I like Fleischmann's. Does that make me a Zionist?(*)

* - I am a Zionist, but for sake of argument, plz2ignorekthxhiv.

We are stardust and we've got to get ourselves back to the Garden. Equality is a step toward our new age utopia, comrades. Just subtract what doesn't feel good. The remainder equals that which feels good. It's a religious experience.

End the cruel genocide against our ever helpful companions the bacteria. Water sanitation management is hate. Lifeforms are people too!

I would really like to know where some folks think the ideas of today's morality come from. There is no indication that postmodern morality has any other source than contradictory judeo-christian teaching. Morally filling the planet with increasing numbers of well nourished and democratically empowered consumer units ensures a future of toxic desertification and eventual massive dieoff. This is unforgivable immorality in the guise of compassion.

Blegh. I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think that just because something pisses you off is no reason to react by completely denying its existence, saying that all race related discussion is automatically void or that the motives of all people who want to discuss this stuff are horrid and evil.

You have to beat this shit rationally, not with reactionary tactics. If someone's misguided, point it out, pick their argument apart and humiliate them.

Race is here. Race is with us. There is no getting away from it and no excuse to refuse to allow a debate on the topic. To deny race and racial relations is akin to denying the Holocaust or Stalinism repression in Russia. Its real, live with it and debate with common sense.

I find the few (as in-- multiple as opposed to one or two) race threads that have popped up to be repulsive. I guess there is a certain benefit in 'freedom of discourse, but it makes me want to not come here.

I think the current prevalence of race-related threads is partially caused by the prevalence of racists like D'ster.

those threads do serve a purpose though and that is to show you who the small minded posters are.

What's to debate?
Then why are you here (speaking figuratively). The whole concept of a forum such as this is the ability to debate issues and, hopefully, resulting in common ground. Those who find the concept of race issues repulsive should also get a reality check, the problems involved in multi racial harmonics are there, there is no getting away from it, so why not debate issues? Until we have one world, one government and total equality, race is always an issue!

One of the difficulties is not so much a persons cultural background but the fact that this person brings unknown or alien ideas and practices with him. I know of a house where a West African family rented it for a while. When it was returned to its owners a bloody bonfire had been lit on the kitchen floor and the house was a wreck - this incurs racial tension. Its not the house owners fault, its those tenants! The owner says Never Again and opponents shout RACIST!

Never again... to who? If to all blacks/all Africans, then there's definitely some crass generalization to be found. Wouldn't you agree? And so we may conclude rightfully that race has nothing to do with whether or not a family lights a bonfire on the kitchen floor (hopefully even JDawg agrees with this). Your example is therefore rendered irrelevant.

I hope you also realize that with all that you said you never - NOT ONCE - answered James' question directly and without beating around the bush.
