On the one hand, I don't moderate this subforum. I also generally try and avoid moderating outside of the fora that I am directly responsible for except in extreme circumstances. Even there the actions I can take are somewhat limited.

On the other hand, I will look into the thread when and if I receive a post report. When I receive a post report, I will examine it, as I always have, and take the action that I consider appropriate.

If I ban paddoboy for any reason, it will be for a maximum of two weeks because that is the maximum ban length he is elligible for at this time. I will, however, be giving him the same number of friendly in-thread reminders, official mod-notes, and yellow card infractions that I usually give you.

Regarding paddoboy, 3 of his last five infractions were issued by me, so you're not really standing in a strong position.

Yet the damage his trolling and spamming etc is tolerated even as you ban others (me for instance) for less even though they are actually genuine discoursers and not clueless 'me-too' cheerleaders and linkers/regurgitators? Just because I have pointed out YOUR failings in the past, not because I deserved your trumped up excuse bans. Let's drop the 'innocent' mod there, Trippy. Just do your duty and ban the ones who are making a mockery of your 'moderation' and 'rules'. OK? I have brought paddoboy's tactics and crap to your attention and reported him before, but he is still allowed to do his clueless loudmouth crap all over the threads. He brings nothing but inane links and mainstream regurgitations and incessant personal commentary instead of arguing the OP on its scientific merits. You know this but have done nothing about him or Krash trolling (yet you are all too eager for personal baggage reasons to pick on me even when I am RIGHT and proper in my discussion points/contributions).

Stop the disingenuousness and start acting like an objective scientist and moderator asap. That is the only thing that will rehabilitate your reputation as mod and scientist. It appeared that Trippy agreed that paddoboy was indeed "Trolling" because the "Reported" Post - the "Evidence" of paddoboy's "Trolling" - got "Deleted" from the Thread.

Which is one of the ways such reported posts can be dealt with, especially if people refrain from responding to the - simplest to remove the offending post (and issue and infraction, if needed) and simply follow the establish procedures.

At this stage, I'm done with this conversation with you. I won't be responding to you in this thread further. If you want me to take action on posts in that thread, report them and I will investigate them.

As I have explained to you in the past, as a moderator I have several courses of action available to me:

1. Do nothing.
2. Edit the offending portions out of the post.
3. Delete the post.
4. Issue a yellow card infringement.
5. Issue a red card infringement.

Deleting posts isn't the great conspiracy you seem to want it to be. It's standard procedure, every forum deletes posts.

It may have escaped your notice (which seems to become an ever-increasing 'occupational hazard' once persons are given positions of power and their ego blinds them more and more) that Trippy has been consistently trumping up charges and 'framing' me. Some 'second chance' if I have to continually watch out for crooked troll-mods who themselves abuse the rules/powers and ban me and cons his fellow mods with his 'edited version' of events/situation, hey?

Anyhow, like I said, I have mostly withdrawn from internet posting, so I can be as candid as is necessary to get through all the self-serving BS you seem to lap up so easily from the PROVEN troll-mod gang types who have brought all these scandals and complaints. You may have started out as someone who sees himself as a 'good and fair guy', but since power corrupts, and the cultural influence of the old mod-troll gang is insidious and subtle (unlike their abuses/tactics when targeting their victim), it has been observable that you have started to become yet another failed mod because you are too ready to make woefully uninformed decisions because you believe lies rather than listen/seek for the truth about why all this has come about, and who is actually to blame (ie, the usual mod-troll gang tactics which have been proven by internet experiments here and elsewhere for some time before YOU ever got involved).

Good luck, Kitta. Watch out for hubris and corruption, it accompanies power and position, and is all too seductive, even for a would-be 'good and fair guy' when starting out.

As for 'second chances' I have given Trippy et al, I have given all too many, and offered to forgive and forget their past misdemeanours and no hard feelings...but they have thrown them back in my face and continued to abuse their mod power/position thinking they were immune to discovery/exposure. How sociopathically sick is that for mods to behave? Corruption is alive and well at every level of power when an ego-maniac is given any power at all over others.
