Sciforums Fleet

Shin and his squad jumped to hyperspace to the rendezvous point, he took out his datapad and started reading a book on Forlian military history. Heavens knows hows the vast amount of books and training that went into training a Tactical/Strategic Forecaster. It it is one of the reasons why the ESSCPA Special Operations are the only ones that have tactical/strategic forecasters, the vast amount of training, time and expenses that went into training a precise tactical/strategic forecaster that sees the entire picture, resourceful and such. ESSCPA Super Soldiers, especially staff officers read extraordinarily quickly, time is a luxury they can't afford.

Out of Game: Also, just remembered I am not a commander, I am a lieutenant. Unless I just got promoted :D

Tiberius heard the new orders and waved off from his approach. The Dark Tiger's hyperdrive spooled up as he input the coordinates. He then activated the cloak.

"What the frak is going on?" Tiberius asked himself.

Before he jumped, he noticed Aki had made it safely onto the Endeavour.

"A recall?" He then jumped.

The stars were flying by him as he zoomed to the rendezvous point. As he looked into the vastness of space, a memory came to him:

"Tiberius. Tiberius. Tiberius wake up. You lazy son of a dog, get up." Tiberius raised his head. He looked around and saw Charlie.

"What, what is it?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.

"The wars over!" Charlie yelled excitedly.

"Wait, what?"

"You dumb ouf(sic). The Andronians signed a peace treaty, it's all over!"

"So? We were never involved." Tiberius was referring to the fact that they were both 10 years old.

Tiberius then snapped out of it as he came out of hyperspace near the station.

He was picking up a news broadcast on the radio:

NEWS: "Maria Omega(The Grand Admiral's mom) has just been elected Chairman of the UEA. And in the Vichi seat election, Relena Yamato has won with 65% vote. Now to sports...."

((OOC: Omega, I assume your admiral character is off 'taking the war to the enemy'?

OUT OF GAME: Yep.

They came out of hyperspace as well, Shin checked the transponder codes, it was Tiberius. He then sent a transmission, but he took precautions, if something went wrong, he would blast the Dark Tiger into little bits instantly,

"Tiberius, this is Shin, recall point reached,"

News: "Tensions rise as terrorists attacks on the Aiur Vichi Imperial Heritage Museum on Aiur take as many as 23 lives and injures 52, Emperor Seiwa vi Yamato of the Vichi Empire expresses his deepest regret and sorrow for the innocent victims, and the tears of their relatives and friends, he promise that aid will be given to the victims and their families, he condemns the act as an indiscriminate act against humanity, he also promises rightful justice and says that a moment of silence will be held tomorrow at 1316 hours, the same time as the attack, and that whatever price the agitators pay, it can never bring back those that were lost,"

"Good for you", Tiberius responded. Tiberius could see a few other flying objects accompanying Shin. "I thought we were supposed to just get the fighters?"

"We liberated a few Vichi Mobile Suits as well, we modified them, we took them for important and vital reasons,"

Dave followed the progress of the missions he'd sent the Chief and Shin on. Both men had managed to steal the Dark Tigers, albeit with varying degrees of subtlety. He opened a closed comms link to Tiberius.
"BEEP. Chief, this is Flemster. Good work. Take the Tiger and proceed to the coordinates I'm sending you. There, you will find a long-abandonned science platform. It's presurised and servicable and has a docking bay. We'll pick you up on the way past. Maintain comms silence. Also, activate the Tiger's stealth as soon as you clear Pluto Station. Shin has caused quite a shitstorm and security are going mental. Flemster out."
He sent the message and reset the comms to another closed channel, this time with Shin.
"BEEP. Shin, this is Flemster. Not quite the way I wanted it done but good work nonetheless. Take the Tiger and whatever else you've thieved and head for the coordinates Im sending you. You will rendezvouz with the Chief at an old science station in deep space orbit. It is abandonned but servicable. You are to hold there until the Endeavour picks you up in about twelve hours. Remember to activate the Tiger's stealth capabilities. Maintain comms silence. Flemster out."
He flicked the comms set off and turned to his personal log computer. He entered a series of codes and a mission checklist appeared. He checked off the first two boxes and closed it down.

Dave Flemster strode on to the bridge, the officer of the watch supprised to see him.
"Uh, captain's on the bridge!"
Flemster waved him silent. He settled into his command chair.
"BEEP. Comms, 2MC."
"2MC, sir."
"BEEP. Engineering, this is the captain. Begin engine startup. I want to be ready for emergency departure in less than ten minutes."
There was a pause before one of Tiberius' men answered.
"Um, sir? There's only two of us down here, sir. Chief Tiberius is off ship."
"BEEP. Let me worry about the Chief. Get my ship up and running. Do you understand?"
"Ah, yeah. I mean, aye sir."
"BEEP. Good. Bridge out."
Flemster began flicking switches on his armrest.
"BEEP. Officer of the Watch, today's recall codes, if you please."
The young officer looked flustered, knowing something was going on.
"BEEP. Now, Mr. Biro."
"Uh, yes, sir." the man replied, hurrying over with a small plastic card that contained the codes for all the crew's comms units.
Flemster entered the code and hit the comms switch again.
"BEEP. Endeavour crew. Emergency recall to ship. I repeat, emergency recall to ship. Make haste and man your stations. Endeavour leaving in one-zero minutes. This is the captain."
The skeleton bridge crew looked startled.
"Sir, what's--" the helmsman began.
"BEEP. Helm, begin departure prep. Sever all umbellicals and gantries. Leave main docking tunnel attached for exactly ten minutes then sever. Make preparatons for emergency break-dock."
"Uh, aye sir."
Flemster turned to face the comms woman, who was looking at him with nervous eyes.
"Comms, on the 1MC."
A tone sounded throughout the ship.
"1MC, sir." she announced.
"BEEP. General Quarters, General Quarters! All hands man your battle stations. Go up and forward on your starboard side, down and aft on your port side. General Quarters, General Quarters! Hostile vessles approaching. General Quarters, General Quarters!"
He clicked the comms off.
"BEEP. Rig the ship for combat, Mr. Biro." he added calmly.
The young officer quickly overcame his fear as his training kicked in. He hit a large red button and immediately, the bridge was bathed in a low, red light. Flemster could already feel the mechanical clunking of shielding sliding into place, as well as weapons pods rolling out along the hull.
"BEEP. Comms, 5MC."
"5MC, sir." the girl replied, opening the channel to the flight deck.
"BEEP. Flight Ops, this is the captain. We are about to engage hostile ships. Launch the alert Vipers."
Dave pressed another button on his comms unit. "BEEP. Master At Arms, how goes the recall?"
A pause. Then, "Captain, we just hit the halfway mark. Sir, most of these guys are in bars getting wasted. It's doubtfull they heard the recall, sir."
"BEEP. Understood. Are the senior officers back on board yet?"
"Aye, sir. all accounted for with the exception of Chief Tiberius and Commander Shin and some of his men. I've been trying to raise them myself but--"
"BEEP. Chief Tiberius and Commander Shin are accounted for, Sargeant. Close the ship and prepare for departure."
"But sir, we still have over 300 hundred men on station!"
"BEEP. You have you orders, sargeant."
There was a long pause before the man answered. "Aye, sir. Closing the hatch."
The helmsman, who really needs a name, turned in his seat to face Dave.
"Captain, radar shows no vessles approaching us, sir. What's going--"
"Captain! Two Forlian battlecruisers decloaking on our starboard bow! Range, three thousand kilometers and closing, sir!" the radar operator called out.
"BEEP. Helm, emergency breakdock. Take her out of the station and bring us about, heading three-six-three. Maximum thrusters."
The helmsman repeated the order and immediately attended to his console.
"BEEP. Weapons, transfer everything to the aft plating. Make ready aft torpedoes and autoguns. Ready the MetalStorm systems."
"Aye, sir."

The Endeavour lurched away from the docking tunnel in a shower of metal dust. The men arriving late could only watch in horror as their ship reversed out of the docking hanger at speed. They knew they were now stranded on this remote outpost.

The Endeavour cleared the outer hanger walls and started to swing around, her engines glowing brighter and brighter as she powered up.

On the bridge, Flemster opened the comms 1MC.
"BEEP. Crew of the Endeavour, this is the captain. We have completed a classified part of out mission that, until now, I have been unable to tell you about. Our journey through the anomally will most likely require us to have a heavy carbon sheilding capability, something this ship lacks. Therefore, I have aquired the carbon plating by stealing two Dark Tiger stealth fighters I knew to be stationed on Pluto Station. These fighters belonged to the Forlian Empire and are very expensive. This fact is being played out now by the arrival of two Forlian battlecruisers. Now, whilst we have the edge over them in speed, they have the advantage in firepower and, as anyone of you who has ever met a Forlian will testify, they aren't shy about using it. I intend to leave the area at full speed and head for Nightingale Station in the Interim Sector, where we will retrieve the fighters and the men who aquirred them. I expect the Forlians to pursue as best they can and most likely engage, so be prepared for some chop. Remember your training and do your jobs and you will ALL live through this. That is all."
Dave turned to face the front.
"BEEP. Helm, best speed for Nightingale Station."
"Nightingale Station, best speed, aye, sir."
"BEEP. Comms, get me the CAG on a closed comms."

(OOG: Razor, you're CAG aren't you? A bit of action for you and whoever else wants to play as a figher jock for a bit!)

OOC: Okay you guys, only one more trip left for me and it will be this friday to sunday for school. last one was a college visit.

Do you mind if I could pick the armaments of the ship? Or at least some since as helmsmen I'd be liable to be shooting them?

Also, you may want to go with neutronium or ablative armor, both of which I'd think would be standard and both are far far far more effective than any sort of carbon based armor.

"We liberated a few Vichi Mobile Suits as well, we modified them, we took them for important and vital reasons,"

I had just managed to board the ship five minutes before she undocked. I had better get to the bridge, no offense to the current helmsmen but she is meant to get the ship out to the base, this is probably her first battle. My first three months pilotting was just moving ships back and forth between bases, it's noobie work.

I threw my bags to some corporal and yelled "throw those in helmsmen Kato's cave", cave being the slang for my room.

He yelled back "aye sir"

I pulled open a service tube and climbed the ladder upwards to floor two. It was something I picked up from and engineering friend while training on the ship.

I walked up some stairs to floor one and than a short hall.

I heard the automatic doors openning and I walked in.

I saw the captain look back, I saluted briefly and said "Chief mate, Helmsmen Kato reporting for duty"

I rushed over to the helm, a step lower and slightly forwards of the captain's chair and told the former helmsmen she was relieved.

"EPS conduits engaged, auxilliary power to forward shields" "RCS thrusters engaged", the ship turned far more quickly this time with the thrusters engaged.

I worked the controls, it was a touchscreen interface. I had three interfaces, one in front, one to the right, and one to the left. The one in front was weaponry and shields. The one to the right was power management and deflector arrays, and the one to the left was FTL Systems and subspace and quantum communication.

I pulled power from the nacelles to the beam arrays "Captain, beam arrays at full power, ready to fire"

I saw explosions hitting the shields, but we were safe, for now.
