Your basis of my " stupidity " is based on ....?
Your reading and writing skills?
Seriously, you could try paying attention: Just saying the virus "is not acting Naturally" and is "mutating way to fast" doesn't really do much. Moreover, given the content of the Cyranoski excerpt, your unsourced disagreement lacks any general basis.
And on that point, it is true, the idea that anyone would stake their life on the petulant, uninformed say-so of an habitual conspiracist crackpot would, indeed, be very, very stupid. And while there is some value in the joke about Darwin and letting such stupid people select out, it's not just about them; they are also harming and even killing other people. And such stupidity that costs lives in that way is a circumstance the human species ought not afford.
Which, in turn, only reinforces the question: Where is that citation, River?
It took me a while to think of a response but,It is getting more known of its potential , continually . By science .

It took me a while to think of a response but,
I am reminded of that famous poem by R. Kipling "IF" and the first line in particular:
"If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, "
This war on mis-information and conspiracy theories etc is all about a world attempting to manage it's collective paranoia and strive for level headed-ness, dealing with facts, supported by rational science and not allowing our own fear and concerns to overwhelm our ability to find soud solutions. As observed around the globe we sometimes fail terribly (thinking Trump etc)
After all, fear is probably a hell of lot more contagious than any virus might be.
It isn't easy even for the most rational of us and wild speculations involving cover ups etc is not helping at all.
What post# of Cyranoski are referring to ?
So, is it just too much to ask that you pay attention to the post↗ you respond↗ to?
Here, let's put the statements side by side:
• Cyranoski (qtd. in #155): "Coronaviruses have a special trick that gives them a deadly dynamism: they frequently recombine, swapping chunks of their RNA with other coronaviruses. Typically, this is a meaningless trading of like parts between like viruses. But when two distant coronavirus relatives end up in the same cell, recombination can lead to formidable versions that infect new cell types and jump to other species."
• River (#156): "This virus , coronavirus , is not acting Naturally . Its mutating way to fast."
Yes, people around here are very familiar with the part where you just happen to somehow fail to see what you're baselessly contradicting.
And apparently I have to post it again, and even write a new work-cited note for it because it's just too much to ask that your crackpottery pay any attention to the world around it, especially those parts it otherwise pretends to engage. You know, because the best you can come up with in the moment is screwing up↗.
Seriously, why do you put people through it? Do you think you're being intelligent? Do you think you're so fucking smart you just don't need to bother? You want to argue, then go for it, but skipping out, screwing your reading comprehension, and then whining in confusion just doesn't cut it. And since today's dose of crackpottery is actually kind of dangerous, the question presses: Why put people through it?
It's straightforward, River: You claim the virus "is not acting Naturally", and that it is "mutating way to fast"; support that claim.

While the first sentence mentions viruses, subsequent discussion in these paragraphs focuses on bacteria
How so? Are you under the impression that "Covid-19" and "coronavirus" are the same thing? Coronavirus refers to a large family of viruses of which Covid-19 is a single member. Fortunately, most coronaviruses only produce mild to moderate symptoms, but those like SARS, MERS and Covid-19 are more severe. Since the quote refers to all coronaviruses, this means that Covid-19 is behaving perfectly normal for a coronavirus. You just proved it .
That's how viruses act. Naturally. They mutate. That's why you need a new flu vaccine every year. That's why this virus, once not dangerous to humans, is now dangerous to humans. This virus , coronavirus , is not acting Naturally . Its mutating way to fast .
Agreed. But her followers do.So stupid. She paid the price and obviously knows nothing of the mockery taking place
